I'm so torn between the blood-vessel-bursting visceral hatred of wanting to derail their season, and the apathy of knowing the title is out of reach.

 

In a situation like this, where we can only play spoiler, I find it hard to believe the players are going to really dig deep, knowing its Madrid on wed.

 

But god will I hope.

I am looking forward to the game, but I just feel gutted that we didn't win that game last week so that this game was pretty much a title decider.

If Liverpool do take home the title, I console myself with the fact that there are plenty of fans like yourself who support Liverpool and are very decent indeed that will be over the moon. As with any fanbase, the vast majority are good folks, and there are a few arseholes that run around sending death threats over twitter to make a name for themselves.  Its an unfortunate part of modern sports.

I'd be astounded if Swift, Christensen, or Hilario played today.

I am sure Schwarzer will play.  The more game time he gets the better given how long he has been sitting on the bench for.  We still have an outside shot at winning the title.  Whilst that is the case I would hate to see us put out an excessively weakened team.

RWAK. Why did I even bother to have a peek at their forum. Very strange stuff from those lot. Apparently they highly regard a Turkish man who makes predictions based on tea leafs. Another picture shows a man in a white bed sheet with tito written on it, they want a bunch of supporters to wear this to upset Mourinho. What class.

 

Too bad this match was ruined by the refs vs Sunderland. I don't even know how I feel about this one. Suppose we beat them, they would still likely win the league. Pure hatred wants me to win this one alone but to be honest the result doesn't really matter at this point as we are gunning for the trophy with the big ears. Liverpool may very well get the title this year but I highly doubt they will see it again for a long time if that is the case. Look for a more complete Chelsea team next season to run riot.

I agree with your sentiments, but that isn't the main reason I want Swarz in nets today. Keepers need game time and be in a rhythm, he looked really solid against Madrid, I want that to continue so play him today.

I don't believe in leaving players out to avoid possible injuries, if they need a rest fair does. So he should play today, as should Ash.

Well we all know that Liverpool will start the game fast out of the blocks in order to get the early goal so we need to stifle the game for about 25 minutes or so.  I think Jose will set it up so defensively that the game will be absolutely dour whereas the FA would want this as one of their showcases.  Steve Holland will do all the media stuff today, again to piss off the FA.  0-0 draw or 2 dives from Suarez and Sturridge, Stevie G scores 2 from the spot and Luiz (if playing) gets sent off. Wouldn't want to be in the middle of the park today it will be a war of attrition with crunching tackles all round.  Love us to spoil their party, we have the players, they just need to show up.

The only surprise to me if this is correct is Luiz isn't on the bench, Cech, Hazard, Ramires, JT I'd say definately out, Willian likely out, Just hope if it's true it's a rest for Luiz and not an injury in training. Torres again I'd have expected on the bench.
