I think certain strikers need teams to play in a certain way. Falcao is one of them and he is just a square peg in a round hole.

I still think he's class.

Falcao is playing in a team that should suit him perfectly. When he was at Porto they would get it out wide a lot and cross it in for Falcao to score. I think he's just finished.

It's straight at him though, it's hit hard, but he should be saving that.

This one from Adrian is better than Joe Hart's save.

Proper LOLs now. That Adrian save is a showboat save - he's making himself stretch for something he does not really have to. If he had not saved that then commentators would suggest he let the ball go right through him.

Watch any great save then you can easily dissect them by watching replays and say they are not so good.

He's at full stretch - how does the ball bending into him make it any easier? If the ball did not bend then he wouldn't be able to reach it, would he ?

But he isn't at full stetch, you can see in the video that he his body isn't fully stretched out.

How else would he get to that shot if he doesn't throw himself towards it ? Not many people hit a ball from that angle and with that much force. The ball clearly speeds up as it heads towards goal too. Adrian was forced to save it that way.

i think it's a matter of point of view, i'm sure that adrian save doesn't look that great when you saw it on the replay zoomed in and in slow motion just like hart's, as you can see here hart's save on a broadcast pov looks fantastic

Before this game kicked off, Souness said arsenal were just a smidgen away from having a team to win league and champions league...laughed at the time and here we are in second half still waiting for them to even have a shot at goal against an average Utd side

I could say the same thing about that save though. If he's beaten from that angle at his near post, people would ask questions.

I wouldn't say one save is much better than the other though.

Sorry everyone. I put on my blue tinted spectacles and confirm that, yes, Harts save was not the best ever and loads of Chelsea keepers have made better saves (but no-one from any other team has managed anything like it).

I really need to wear these specs more often.

That's not the point...you made an ott statement typical of many fans these days, like the ones that crown Gerrard the best Liverpool player ever...just because it's the most recent, doesn't make it the best

No. I gave my opinion objectionally to a save I saw. It's OTT in your opinion. Note the keyword. - opinion.

I'm starting to wonder if the Theo Walcott interview was edited maybe be meant to say "no one expected us to threaten to start a title challenge". Cause as we know they were never even close to us.

You must have taken all of five minutes to make such a considered opinion to judge all the saves we have seen this century 'objectively'.

You must have taken all of five minutes to make such a considered opinion to judge all those saves objectively (thick that's the term you were looking for) that were candidates for best of the century...note the keyword - time

It's the word my auto correct thought I was looking for :) Just like your think.

I maintain what I said - I've seen plenty of great saves over the years but that is right up there for me.

Falcao definitely done, can't see him coming back at all

falcao literally waving goodbye lol

What a horrific flop....I bet he's glad Liverpool signed Balo or he'd be the biggest this season.

It's a good save from Hart but it isn't that great now that i have seen it again. The ball bends towards him to make it easier for him. If he doesn't make the save then it's a mistake, it's nowhere the best save of the season.

What makes it great is not just that he gets there but that he pushes it away from danger rather than just palming it down towards Gomis.

Falcao was definitely saying 'sorry it didn't work out' there.

Shame really - it's good for the Premier League that we attract the best players and you do wonder if others will look at him and think it's not worth the hassle when they are doing the business in their own leagues.
