May 16, 201511 yr Just think, if Liverpool had won the league last year, that probably would have been worse than what we saw today.Oh no doubt. We stopped the world imploding.
May 16, 201511 yr Oh no doubt. We stopped the world imploding. It would have been awful, they're unbearable as it is
May 16, 201511 yr Kind of feel sorry for Newcastle fans... Kind of.. Saying that what are they expecting they are in a steady financial position and have never been a top side.
May 16, 201511 yr Sheffield United's Jose Baxter now suspended after failing a drugs test .... makes you wonder how many of these professionals are at it? Edited May 16, 201511 yr by londonblue
May 16, 201511 yr Sheffield United's Jose Baxter now suspended after failing a drugs test .... makes you wonder how many of these professionals are at it? Young men, more money than they know what to do with it, lots of free time and probably a bunch of hangers on who are necessarily the best of influences. Surprised it doesn't happen more in truth.
May 16, 201511 yr I tell myself sky and bbc do this bullocks out of pity for stevie me. Cools me down a little.
May 16, 201511 yr I think the farewell fittingly matched the trajectory of the career. It started with great expectation and hope, there was success at first but then the mediocrity began to show with Liverpool's send off for their greatest ever player ending dejectedly in humbling failure. It was almost a poetic representation of SG's career rising towards Istanbul and the 06 Cup Final and then gradually petering out, a damp squib and sad reflection on what, once, was one of England's big clubs.
May 16, 201511 yr Young men, more money than they know what to do with it, lots of free time and probably a bunch of hangers on who are necessarily the best of influences. Surprised it doesn't happen more in truth. The repercussions are enough to discourage them. I do seem to recall Baxter having a history of drug dealing while he was at Everton so this particular incident shouldn't be too surprising I guess.

May 16, 201511 yr what was with the "I'm Spartacus, no I'm Spartacus" thing? - all wearing a Gerrard shirt. Maybe they are all hoping to go to LA Galaxy and pretend they are the real Gerrard. Looks like Markovic and Mario are good friends... https://twitter.com/amadoit/status/599643664122552320
May 16, 201511 yr Oh ohh.... Hoping this is relevant in this thread and not a Chelsea one...! I never got past the twix Mmm free twix icecream
May 16, 201511 yr The repercussions are enough to discourage them. Young men will always do stupid things, regardless of the repercussions if caught. I know I have.
May 16, 201511 yr Also found out that Wolves backup keeper Aaron Mccarey has also failed a drugs test yesterday.. is there a crackdown?
May 16, 201511 yr Well done to Leicester for staying up. They've been excellent lately... 6 wins in 8 games.
May 16, 201511 yr Well done to Leicester for staying up. They've been excellent lately... 6 wins in 8 games. Really thought they'd go down with them having a nice stadium and lovely playing surface which the big clubs would love playing on but I was wrong they have been brilliant. Fair play Edited May 16, 201511 yr by bluegraham
May 16, 201511 yr Gutted about Hull, really don't want us to be the team to relegate Bruce of all people. If we can't get a result against Arsenal we should just field a youth-based team since we've got nothing to play for if we can't beat Arsenal and perhaps they'll have a chance of the greatest escape ever ahead of Newcastle.
May 16, 201511 yr In terms of one club men I think Dean Lewington (of MK Dons) should be the next to receive a Sky/BBC/Media love in Given the fact that Lewington has won the same amount of trophies as Gerrard: Football League Two 2008, Football League trophy 2009 , Promotion to Championship 2014/2015, League Two PFA team of the year 2007/2008, League One PFA team of the year 2008/2009 Although Lewington won the league title that will forever elude Gerrard, I look forward to next weeks Dean Lewington montage :) And this in ignoring the fact that I like AFC Wimbledon and despite MK Dons edit:forgot to mention Dean Lewington's dad Ray played for us Edited May 16, 201511 yr by londonblue
May 16, 201511 yr That is the kind of send off frank could and should have had...and unlike Gerrard, he would have deserved it...today's game summed his career up...a lot of hype and hyperbole, but in truth, didn't really deliver
May 16, 201511 yr Just watched MOTD and thought they got it right. It was about 5th game, and they showed 'the slip' before the game. Lineker's interview was honest, and got an honest response.

Bet if Liverpool had won, they would have been on first though...thank you palace for ruining script for second year in a row
