Lying through his f**king teeth when asked about the team's future. He was in some good teams and to retire with that bunch... Poor f**ker. Everything that could've gone wrong over the last year did.

I almost pity him.

I see that Sky are sticking around to hear what Gerrard has to say. They never did that for any of the United players and i guaratee John Terry doesn't get the same treatment.

If anybody ever doubted that Sky and the media weren't obsessed with Liverpool this has proved beyond doubt that they treat them better than the rest.

You could tell he was lying. f**k me he's lapping this up isn't he? Now talking to the Sky team ugh!

1-0 up - all they had to do was defend a lead, no need to go for goal difference this year. Defending's easy isn't it Brendan?

His comments always come back to bite him he should shut up lol

They stuck around for Fergies.

I'm not :laugh2:

Are you fricking kiddin' me?! A 'number 8' TROPHY?! WHAT THE f**k!??!

I'm fuxking done, if that club couldn't get any more xjsjsjsjskxkfjfkdlslspeofjdjsksksksksksk

Never seen anything like it, this is more than what Ferguson got, that special Xmas music when it cut to breaks, tribute from each commentator, number 8 trophy, team mates selling his shirt...

What did Paulo Ferreira get? Nobody even knew he retired with us

They stuck around for Fergies.

But none of the players though. Even though they stuck around for Alex Ferguson's speech, he still didn't get what Gerrard has been getting in the past week.

I would have no problem with what they are doing with Gerrard if they had just done the same with other players, players that have actually achieved a lot more than him.

Today is the worst Sky have ever been, i have never seen anything like this.

That's not a number eight, it's just a twisted zero.

Oh okay so it just commemorates his number of league trophies? Fair enough I guess.

Bobby - I hate you.

Even if Lamps hadn't have left he wouldn't have received nearly the same level of gushiness from the media, then again he wouldn't have announced it, Frank isn't self obsessed. Imagine though, saying goodbye to "two" premier league legends and this one will get f**k all mentioned.

Aww

Embarrassing.

A team with CL football to compete for treating a competitive match as a testimonial. Even going as far as to trying to get Gerrard to score, I have no hard feelings towards the guy but even I think that's pathetic.

They lost that chance in reality last weekend.

Well done Palace. Truly shat on the parade.

On the subject of Liverpool but not realted to the game today, if any of you care to look at RAWK, there is a thread dedicated to memories of Heysel. You won't be surprised to read numerous sightings of Chelsea skin heads in Belgium that day. "It's never your fault"...

I also read a comment on another thread (referring to last week's game) from one bin dipper which was something like "I hadn't been to Stamford Bridge since the old shed end was an open terrace. Amazing what a few roubles can do". Ha ha. Forget the fact that the shed end terrace had a roof and it was the north stand terrace which was open. Or the fact that both terraces were demolished in 1993/94, so a good 9 or 10 years before Abramovich arrived.
