I've seen the odd comment regarding this in the "other teams" forum, but nothing here.

It appears the SAMSUNG deal ends at the end of the season, with a Turkish airline favourites to take over.

I like having SAMSUNG as our our sponsor, having phones and tablets by them. Also, my 86 yo mother has a nice SAMSUNG TV which will one day be mine as my Man Utd supporting brother won't have their gear in his house :) (he wouldn't let his wife drink Carlsberg during their Liverpool era).

Would be a shame to just go to the highest bidder, I'd rather not have some dodgy insurance company or airline on my shirt. Anyone else feel the same eay?

The Samsung logo looks quite nice on the shirt. Shame to ruin it..

A pity, because I do think the Samsung logo looks good but as Zola said, money talks. Other reports say Samsung could up their offer though, so it's not done yet.

If we won the champs league or domestic again this season I think we'll have a queue of suitors fighting for it.

I get that united are a bigger brand than us wordwide. But the gap between our 18mil and their 50mil is huge. Hopefully we can get close to their deal.

As long as it brings us a f**k load of money and isnt taking up the whole of the shirt I'm happy.

Have to agree with the OP. I know the importance of money but please don't just sell to the highest bidder. What price can you put on having a Cool Sponsor?!!

 

Samsung has been good and it's no coincidence that since they became our sponsor, the TV's in our house are Samsung.

In the past I didn't mind Commodore or Cores but absolutely detested Autoglass and was glad to see that back of them.

 

We are Chelsea, we shouldn't have just any old sh*t on our shirts - however much they may be willing to pay!

I'll happily admit that I have been influenced by the sponsor, mainly in wanting to support the club in every way possible.

When the deal with Samsung ends it wont be a deal breaker for me in that I will stop buying their products without consideration - that would just be stupid.....but it will make me spend longer looking at other options.

I have an S4 at the moment, I'll probably move away from Samsung next time I upgrade.

The whole thing with the club does come down to cash though, I don't care who we have on our shirt if they pay us a brilliant amount. My only reservation or unhappiness would be if we ever put some immoral company on our shirt (like Wonga), but I highly doubt that would ever happen.

Ultimately the highest bidder will win out. The Samsung deal is way behind United's with Chevrolet so we need a bigger deal, whether it's with the incumbent sponsor or someone new. I'd like it to be Samsung, the logo looks very good on our strip. Ultimately I'm not all that bothered who it is, but I certainly don't want some monstrosity like the Chevrolet logo ala United ruining the entire kit.

Have found this about the sponsorship deal in 2005. £50 million for five years.

We should be able to get a big deal I'd imagine.
