Starting to assemble a decent FUT.

My team for those who care - Hart, Azpi, Chireches, Koschielny, Coleman, Matic, Young, Oscar, Salah, Defoe, Jovetic.

Boss teams with Bale/Ronaldo etc who clearly paid for coins but can't actually play fifa

That's a decent team, I got Jovetic in a pack but after 2 games sold him, how do you like playing with him? Personally I found Cisse much more prolific who's cheaper aswell, but maybe that's simply my style of play.

 

Hart is a beast isn't he, In my opinion on of the more overpowered goalies in the game, but at around 7K I'm not complaining.

 

How's Oscar? He's the next player I'm looking to buy, but need to earn some coins first.

I'm planning on buying a console within the next month or so but just looking around for the best deal that includes FIFA!

 

Has anyone seen a better bundle deal with FIFA 15 for the Xbox One than this one?

Yes I went for the Xbox One, Fifa 15 + Minecraft downloads + a proper copy of the Evil Within for 359. A mate has offered me 45 quid for the Evil Within, which I think I'll go for to bring the price down to closer to 300, especially as I'll mainly be playing Fifa for the first few months anyway!

 

I was undecided between Xbox One and PS4, but ultimately, despite the fact PS4 is a slightly better gaming machine, the 'all-roundness' of the Xbox One plus the fact most of my friends own it, was enough to tip the scale. 

 

Have you got either?

Yes I opted for the PS4, always preferred the Xbox 360 to the PS3 but the PS4 was the obvious choice for me personally, for to some extent the same reason as all of my friends have the PS4, and I think it's better than the Xbox but in the end of the day it's a matter of personal opinion.

 

Fifa 15 is a magnificent game, didn't like 14 at all but am really enjoying playing 15, I recommend the Pro Clubs feature, fantastic game mode to play with a couple of friends.

The PS4 (imo) is the better machine but I would always tend to go for the console my mates have

Sorry took ages to get back to you! Jovetic is ok but I actually find Defoe better and he's cheaper. Really want a class PL striker but I don't have enough coins. I play a diamond with Oscar at the tip and he is simply wonderful! Shooting from the edge of the box, through balls and his dribbling being his key attributes

Oh yes, I bought Oscar a week or so ago and he's been magnificent, at the striker position I have Lukaku, Diouf and Cisse, rotating them according to fitness. Yesterday bought Vargas aswell but haven't got around to playing with him yet.

 

One popular player I don't recommend, Remy, bought him for 30K and sold him 2 games after.

yea Remy is well over priced but its clear that people only sign him for his pace. if its pace you want for cheap sign Salah! 93 pace!

not sure what area I want to strength next, perhaps centre half as chicheras is only rated 76! need a decent centre half partnership but reluctant to sign Cahill due to lack of pace. you really need quick defenders on this game.

I hated Salah on ultimate team, his finishing is ridiculously poor, even if I did get him in behind the defence he'd convert like 1 in 5 chances.

 

I suppose it's quite realistic in that regard.

yes but I don't use him as an out and out striker, he is just good on the counter and crossing isn't bad either.

I really cant think of 80+ premiership players to buy that aren't slow and don't cost a fortune.

It arrived yesterday! I found the next-gen Fifa so silky smooth in comparison to the 360. 

On the wings I currently have Willian, Eriksen and Ox, all magnificent players to have, I also have Salah in my squad but don't use him, for the reason already mentioned, other than his pace he's not that good.

 

In the centre-back position depending on how much money you have to spend, I strongly recommend Mangala, goes for the same amount of money as Cahill but is an absolute beast. I currently have Mangala and Kaboul as my starting-centre backs, but also have Curtis Davies and Lovren on the bench, I use Davies more to replace Kaboul when is fitness is low because even though he's 75 rated he also has 75 pace and is not too shabby defensively.

I haven't owned a FIFA since around FIFA 11 or 12 and the only times I've played it in the last couple of years are round a mate's house where we just play against each other. 

 

What actually is FIFA Ultimate team? I want to get Fifa 15 and I intend to play it online, against mates and career mode I guess. Any advice welcome!

That's the thing - it's really, really enjoyable if you get into it.. when you start building a team of good players. Quite tough to start with when you haven't got the coins to get decent players, but it's good once you get going. 

I find Ultimate Team far more pace orientated than seasons, and for that reason it's an inferior game mode as you don't really need to be good at the game to win matches.

I have tried several times but just don't like it at all, also don't like the fact little 15-16 year olds can use their dads credit card to buy a team of superstars straight from the beggining.

I will be trying myclub on PES this year as that actually rewards the gamer and has no 'easy' ways to get a great squad.

i'm well behind. i still have a ps3 and the only fifa i have is fifa 12, which i actually find a very good fifa. how much better are the following fifas compared to fifa 12? i need to get myself a ps4, but am reluctant to pay out 300+ quid on a gaming system, when i don't game much.
