Why can't we afford Bale, Pogba etc. is beyond me. We have made good profits in last 2 years, plus we have won the league. We have also signed a new 40m per year deal with Yokohama. Plus with the new TV deals we can easily spend more than 100m pounds this summer. 

 

I'm not saying we have to spend it, but when a player like Bale/Pogba becomes available and we have got the right resources to get him.... then passing on him to our rivals would be foolish I'd say.

 

He's a phenomenal talent we all know that probs on par with Hazard or maybe better, and he's homegrown, is just 25 with best years ahead of him, 

and he'll fill one of the glaring hole in our team which we couldn't settle in last two years... i.e Right Wing. If we sign him we'll be far more less reliant on Hazard to win matches. He's a big game player, he's just phenomenal.

 

I know he's on huge wages... but so are all world class players..

Griezzmann is good I do agree but he's not nowhere near Bale's quality, although I wouldn't mind if we signed him either.

It's about not disturbing the hierarchy that is already in place. 

 

You go out an drop £80m+ on Bale and give him a £300k a week contract what then stops Hazard asking the question of why the new boy is earning £100k a week more than he is? 

 

Then you get the domino effect of other players asking the same. Ivanovic as a mainstay in the squad, why is he earning £220k less and so on and so on. 

 

It's why we didn't pursue the Luke Shaw deal, the terms of the deal would have had repercussions throughout the club, particularly in regards to wage structure.

 

So with Bale or Pogba, considering how in demand they would be if they were to move you have to weigh up if they are actually worth the hassle.

 

Or can we supplement the squad with quality such as Griezzmann or Koke or Imbula. 

 

Jose hasn't got a history of signing "star" players at Chelsea, he brings in the likes of your Drogba's, Costa's, Essiens, Matic's... Not the most glamorous of players... Don't always play with a lot of grace but they are effective and when they slot into the team and buy into the team ethic and work rate needed Jose builds a very solid machine that becomes extremely hard to beat.

Rumour doing the rounds at the moment is that PSG have initially offered to treble Pogba's current wages. 

Would much prefer to sign Griezmann over Bale, seems more worth the money if we do go for a big name signing. Though I do believe the biggest signing we will get in the summer (if we do get it) will be Koke, which i've heard rumours that it'll be a swap deal with Luis + 30m

He's allegedly rejected the first offer... Because maybe he thinks he can earn more elsewhere.

Reason he rejected United was for more playing time... That's not a concern now.

Believe me, wherever he ends up he'll be on serious money.

you could bring 2 or 3 top top players for his price he is well overrated imo, not a good deal if mou thinks viranne, pogba in part exchange with Oscar and another top striker for the price of bail he would never do it he is way too pragmatic, only an order from Roman would let that happen

And frankly does not say a lot about the current squad!  who only lost 3 games all season. can't stand this, right lets get rid of x,y, and z when the season is not even over, that's gratitude for you.

 

Agreed, but there are unquestionably areas that need strengthened. I would not agree with wholesale changes, and I dont think there will be many, if any. 

 

More likely we will build on what we have which is a core of excellent players that need some of the weight taken off their shoulders through some clever rotation. We have the tools in some areas with our youth (particularly bamford and RLC) and I would be disappointed if these kids arent included in our squad for next season. 

 

I dont think we need to go out and buy a striker, i'd be happy to keep remy but i would like to see him get more game time. I also think it is more likely than not that he would, at 28 years old, prefer to be somewhere getting game time rather than playing backup to costa who will clearly always play when fit. It's a problem mourinho has to solve and he absolutely has to start trusting more of his squad. IMO we cannot go in to next season and rely on 22 players again - personally i think that would be absolute madness. 

 

We need strength and depth and we have to be conscious of the number of foreign places available in our squad. As I said before, i would like to see the following changes next season:

 

If cech does choose to leave - green in.

Cresswell as backup fullback

Schneiderlin to add depth to midfield

Koke in

If remy does wish to leave, this remy + £15m for lacazette rumour that is going around would seem to be a decent option, albeit lacazette has only had one truly good season. 

RLC getting more game time

Bamford returns and rotates principally with remy / A.N.other, particularly in some of our "easier" fixtures, or, rather, for those fixtures we really should be winning

 

In all honesty I wouldnt be complaining if the above happened. Due to squad limitations, FFP, and jose's loyalty to those who serve him well (and rightly so), i think that griezmann AND koke as a pair is unlikely. 

 

I also think this bale sh*t is just that; total fantasy.

Who said I'm annoyed? I also have made specific reference to the twitterat who are the ones pressing for overhaul.

I thought this, maybe reading too much into such an early transfer but maybe they're privy to some info, namely that Bale isn't leaving Madrid.
