Is There a Media Campaign Against Chelsea?

Featured Replies

People say there's no media campaign, but look at the evidence. City, Utd, etc... players get away with elbows and 2-footed lunges, dives, all manner of sh*t, with at most 30 seconds worth of discussion on it. Ivanovic barely presses his chin into a guy's shoulder and all the media outlets are just desperate to get him banned, even making up sh*t like he bit him. f**k me, I thought we'd won an important game with a 90th minute winner today. Apparently not, no mention of that...

And what also pisses me off, and it's not just with us, is the over the top reactions of the pundits and media to tiny incidents like this. The slightest bit of contact with a head and it's "he has to go", "has to be a red card". Why? They act as if simply touching your head against someone is a headbutt every time. It's f**king pathetic.

There was literally nothing in this "incident" but with BT and Sky and then the papers all talking about it as if there was something awful that happened, the FA will ban him, without a shadow of a doubt. They just create "incidents" out of nothing until they've rammed it down everyone's throats so much that everyone believes there really was one.

Hard to talk about agendas in a match where the ref gave everything our way and even sent their bloke off. Obviously that won't get mentioned but thought he was incredibly kind to us all night.

So you don't think Barrys yellows were justified?

The ref made a rod for his own back, with early bookings.

I thought they absolutely were but I also felt we got every marginal call our way. Just my sense from watching the match.

We could easily have had a penalty.

Lukaku was offside for his chance in the first half.

Neither of those went our way.

Pointing it that I have experience of working in the media when we're discussing the media is hardly giving it the big I am.

Pointing it out would be fine, indulging in a dick-waving contest is a bit tragic.

My dick is bigger than your dick.

Whatever you say squire.

Hardly. If you want to use that analogy then I was simply enquiring as to whether you even had a penis(direct experience of the media).

Bit that it matters now. I'll just assume you're a enunch in this regard and that's perfectly fine. We'll just move on,somehow.

And I'll just assume you're desperately trying to prove yourself on the internet because of your overriding sense of inferiority.

As you were.

I take umbrage at the use of the word desperately.

But seriously mate,we were talking about agendas in the media and I asked you about your experience of it. Seemed like a fair question but you didn't want to disclose that and I absolutely understand.

Honestly though, I think you're taking this a little far now.

Well, if you're going to try and belittle people, which is what you do, continually, you're just going to have to take it.

Regarding this discussion, just argue, let your arguments stand on their own merit, rather than continuously trying to compare your experience favourably with others, as if you somehow know more on the subject than they do, it's patronising.

You're not more right than other people, about anything.

It's just different opinions, that's all.

I asked you if you had experience of the media. That's all. If you don't then that's fine but why dance around the issue? Saying sh*t like you did in the last post over the internet just makes you look like a keyboard warrior to be honest.

Let's just agree to disagree and I apologise for asking if you had any first hand experience about the issue you were debating. Terribly unfair of me and clearly a sign of a dick-measurer.

Thinking back a few weeks, many were banging on about Phil Neville being anti Chelsea (whereas my take was just that it was his job that night to play devils advocate).

Tonight, on match of the day, I thought he was great. Even said the Ivan incident was nothing.

No campaign on MOTD in MHO. Sky may be a different matter

For once Phil Neville was alright. I don't usually agree with him on anything but i was agreeing with him all night. I still think he's sh*t though

I asked you if you had experience of the media. That's all.

"That's all" is it ?

If I remember rightly you said this ..

"I'm quite happy to compare your experience and mine. I'm going to take a wild guess that mine vastly exceeds your's though and that your's is based on Drop The Dead Donkey."

You see, it's not quite as you tell it, unsurprising I suppose, given your claims to work in the media.

You come across as someone with small-man syndrome, if you don't mind me saying.

That's absolute cobblers Daze, the ref did not give everything our way at all.

Besides one Hazard pull back which wasn't really a pull back I can't really remember one. Who was it who barged Willian in the back and he just let play go on didn't even give a foul for it? Penalty appeal was a penalty in my book, Naismith knew what he was doing, touched too much of his arm it's a penalty. Also Lukakus first chance was offside but wasn't given, had that of went in it would have been a bad decision from the linesman.

I don't see how you can say everything went our way that game, I think he let Everton off a few times, the Barry one was also a sending off, he took one of the team on two occasions, that's automatically two yellows. The players didn't need to surround the referee so it looks bad but he was going to get sent off regardless Martinez already said that.

Like I said I asked you a fairly simple question which could've been easily answered. For whatever reason you didn't want to.

You can stop with the sly put-downs as well keyboard warrior. The matters closed and there's no point continuing.

You're both being a bit personal from my perspective, however there really is no need, maybe you got off on the wrong foot but I've never known Blue Daze to be the type to belittle people or hold a grudge. We've disagreed many times and agreed many times, there's nothing else to it really, I don't think this really needs to get personal at all, you both aren't the type.

Sorry mate, just my interpretation. Honestly felt our players were more than well-protected, felt Hazard got a very soft one and basically felt that if I was an Everton fan I'd be a bit frustrated.

Obviously if I've missed a few then you're right. What I will say is that I thought the ref had a very solid game.

Also, there was that moment in the second half, late on, by the dug-outs, where Willian was away, and the ref pulled it back for a foul by him on Lennon, do you remember ?

Ahhh yess I was pissed about that one, Willian was on the ball the who whole time probably the worst decision of the game, I don't know he could have fouled lennon, all lennon ahd to do was fall over. Also Willian had another player on him.
