Courtois made several key saves but I also partly blame him for their second goal. By heading towards the ball and taking several steps off his line when he had no chance of getting it he allowed the header to lob over him.

Not a chance he was to blame for that goal.

Courtois for me, saved us numerous times and did all he could to keep us in the game. 

 

Cahill is worth a shout as well, prior to the team giving up after the sending off he was very impressive. I counted 4 good chances he snuffed out in the first 30 mins, if he hadn't had made those interceptions there's a good chance that one of them would have lead to a goal. Not to mention the goal he scored as well.

I didn't notice it till this morning, but when I watched highlights he comes a good distance out without getting near the ball. There's no way the header would have beaten him had he not done that.

Think that's unfair. Courtois does come but he actually gets back to his proper position in time. It's just one of those headers that keepers have almost no chance with.

I know I'm being overly picky, just an observation. He did a similar thing against Everton away when Eto'o scored. Not saying he has a problem though, especially after the save before Silva's goal.
