Trying to defend against a team playing away with 10 men for 2 thirds of the game and being bossed in midfield with a man advantage, before losing... I don't mean to be rude but I thought It really was quite humiliating. (Certainty very lucky to get a draw in Paris.)

If the referee in Paris had been worth his salt - which he wasn't then things would have been very different

Instead of just looking at the balance of play, also look at what influenced it all. Our best player Hazard had the sh*t kicked out of him for 90 minutes with zero protection from the ref. Their best player Veratti was allowed to foul and foul all night until being booked really late in the game

I'll let you do the maths....

No offence but did you watch the game ?

That's enough to show something though and yet some of these same people who say this are writing Cuardadro off after barely playing.

Well one of those appearances was motm, so I'd say he definitely showed something on that game. In fact a 5th of the minutes he played for us, he was the best player on the pitch.

Which game was he MOTM in the Hull one? Other than that I only can remember sub par performances against United, Arsenal etc

I believe it was against hull. The entire team was terrible against united so we can't really hold that against him. Wasn't that the match we tried schurrle as a striker?

I seem to remember he was great for us in pre season as well. So if the above numbers about apps are correct(which from memory they are) I think it's fair to say he should have gotten more opportunities.

However we are top of the league now, it won't be the first time a club lets a good player leave when maybe they shouldn't have, and this won't be the last.

For now it all seems to work out for the best for both parties so we might as well stop dwelling about it.

He basically got a token debut MOTM, he was far from our best player that day. Got a decent assist for Oscar, but was generally too ambitious and faded in the second half. For what it's worth he came third in our MOTM poll.

I seem to remember the highlights of that game being Allan McGregor giving away the most ridiculous penalty I've ever seen (he tried to punch a ball out, missed horrendously and ended up whacking Torres in the face) which he promptly saved, and Lampard's insane free kick (complete with Ivanovic outmuscling a three-man wall with the power of his arse alone).

Who did win the Shed End MotM for that game? I remember Torres playing very well and causing Hull all sorts of problems and Frank despite missing the penalty played very well.

Oscar (deservedly) and Ramires came second.

Yeah that was the game. Even if his motm was undeserved in some people's opinions, I think he still showed enough promise to put a little more faith in him bearing in mind, he was 21 in a new country and a tougher league.

If he cost more money I think he would have seen more game time.

I don't think 400 minutes is ever enough to judge whether a player will be good enough. I think until a player is given a run of at least 3 full games it's impossible to judge them. Some players need that consistent playing time to play there peak, lampard has spoke about this before.

It was difficult last season though with the amount of options we had, with the ability mata, de bruyne, and schurrle have, I think we could've had a better attacking unit than we do now, but it wasn't meant to be.

It's disappointing that there's only hazard that everyone is completely happy with in that attacking 3, when we have or have had mata, Oscar, de bruyne, schurlle, salah, willian, and cuadrado.

I wouldn't bring de bruyne back for the reported fees being talked about, I just hope cuadrado and whoever comes in the summer, get a decent run in the team to prove themselves, and not end up out of the chelsea attacking midfield revolving door.

Yeah cause we know for sure he'll be great and that he would have succeeded here, seriously getting bored of this crap. It's like the people hoing on about Mo Salah, he's oerforming for a club that doesn't carry the same pressures ours does and a league that is nowhere near as intense as ours.

Bobby, I seriously think he will be a great footballer. His movement on the pitch is very good and he's still improving. It's like every game he plays he gets better and better. I actually didn't want Mo Salah playing for Chelsea. I think it was a bad signing. KDB is a different story. He will be a great just wait and see. Edited by Michael440

Think exactly not know, I personally think he isn't right for Chelsea and won't make it at a big club in England.

No thank you.

He has qualities, great vision, passing but he´s crap in defense he can´t tackle to save his life.

I think he will become a good player somewhere but he´s not a mouh type player he just can´t pull his weight defensively so Mouh wouldn´t play him.
And we have Fabregas that can play the AM position and put in the defensive shifts just need to find someone to play along side Matic.

Kevin is a Mata type player IMO has the same qualities but also the weaknesses

He is becoming a top player but that diesbt mean he would eork for Chelsea, it takes a specific type of player not just a good player for CFC and as for Paris they didn't humiliate us we did that to ourself, this is a talented Chelsea squad, I could suffer not bring top, remember what happened when we were 6th not too many years ago, but I can't stomach bottelers, that's not what the Chelsea is about, we are about, discipline, grit, getting the job done with a big old pair of oysters

It will undone all the astute transfer deals Jose has done since he took over, if we pay 40M+ to get him back. I don't see how we could guarantee him a starting spot either, and that would be a critical factor when him makes his choice.

Just cheat logically, we got 18m for him, we pay 40 to get back it's like paying 22m net for him. Bargain!

I'm not so sure how astute Jose's transfer dealings have been, compared with what went before. He's certainly improved the first XI with the purchases of Costa, Fabregas and Matic but he's also benefitted greatly from the good work that was done before him.

As it is purchases like Luis, Cuadrado and Willian have yet to prove their worth.

Anyway De Bruyne isn't coming back. Ship has sailed.

I think Jose like most other managers has success and failures in the market.

He has brought Costa, Cesc and Matic in who are a huge part of our current spine who are probably one of if not the best in their positions in the league.

However you also have guys like Willian and Salah plus Cuadrado for a combined fee of just under £70 million and we still look pretty weak on that side of the park.

It's the profile of player that he buys that is a bit worrying. The majority are in their prime and bought at the height of their value so if they don't work out there's not really a profit to be made on them. Mata, Schurrle, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Azpi, Courtois, Oscar etc. were all good value purchases whereas Jose's are 'win-now' propositions so obviously they're more heavily scrutinised.

Cuadrado could still come good and he's not really been given a chance yet but I'm just a bit concerned overall.

I think that profile of player has been brought in to bring instant success and take the pressure off him. If we go on to win the title, I think Mourinho and the board will revert back to signing younger players to help us comply with ffp.

I'd be pretty shocked if we signed any outfield player over 25 in the summer. Unless it is a player that would walk into the first 11 like a modric.

Yeah agreed.

Those signings made us millions but I think we had some sort of plan to blend in the Belgium’s into our spine in the long term but obviously Jose didn’t see them in his vision so at least we made profit out them.

The big loss seems to be De Bruyne in money terms anyway as he is being linked to £30 odd million transfers and we sold for half of that.

Others like Atsu I think were made just to see us turn a profit since our revenue stadium wise is nowhere near 5 or 6 clubs in England.

I hope unless it’s Bale that we are done chucking money at ready-made right sided players as he’s got it badly wrong so far and wasted a big chunk of money on it.
