I'm starting to get the feeling there's people on this forum who disagree with Blue Daze purely because they don't like him which I think is a shame really, I don't agree with some of the things he posts nor do I agree with everything the 'long standing well respected' members of this forum post either.

I'm not singling anyone out, but disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing is pointless. I actually think he has a point in this case, a win for arsenal would be the first against a Jose team & would tell Wenger this is the way to set up against the big teams and make them a force next season, equally it may not make a blind bit of difference next year, but it's a valid point nonetheless.

I don't dislike the guy at all, infact I like him, doesn't back down and just agree with people.

I just in this case don't think the result Sunday, however it goes, means very little and nothing on next season.

With all due respect the same could be said for Blue Daze, just because people disagree with him doesn't necessarily mean they're actively seeking him out for the sake of it. He himself has said he doesn't post much when he agrees with an opinion, just shares his when he doesn't agree or wants to play devil's advocate. Perhaps some people just disagree with a lot of what he says.

A lot can happen in the Summer, who knows what will occur with Arsenal, Chelsea or bloody Liverpool. I've never been a fan of this 'next season' stuff even though I can understand why it's said sometimes. Building foundations and what not, but in my opinion the term 'laying down a marker' is a bit cringeworthy. Calm down sweeties.

Lets hope the big man is back

I'd rather not risk him, he shouldn't have been on the bench let alone got onto the field last time. With some players I guess you can take the risk but not with his injury record.

Like I said mate, I wasn't singling you out, it's just something I've noticed on a few threads.

Yeah I get that Gem but I've seen a few posts where he's said something and people have just responded completely off subject quoting something he's said in the past, I just don't see the need for that, if you disagree with his points that's fair enough, but actively posting sarcastically to him is a bit daft IMO.

On a much happier note, I've got quite a good feeling about this game, and Im not usually one for good feelings before a game, it's usually nerves! I think this will be more comfortable than the media is making out, however that could be down to the fact I'll be watching from a sunny sports bar in Feurteventura! Speaking of which, has anyone been and know of a good bar that would be showing our game? I'm assuming most places will but I don't want to end up in a crap pub!

Arsenal have been playing well lately I have to admit, but it is not unusual for modern-day Arsenal to go on great runs followed by abysmal runs (or vice versa). They are 10 points behind us, so the onus is on them to attack and get something out of the game. We don't have to do diddly-squat, but if they draw that's pretty much all she wrote, so I figure Arsene will leave his side open to counterattacks at some point during the game (possibly the entire game given the league table).

I watched the Capital One final in Corralejo. There's a sports bar right next door to Irish pub (which was rocking after Ireland beat England in the 6 nations on the same day) - sorry are we allowed to mention egg chasing on here?

They are at the opposite end of the strip from the Old Town on one of the side roads leading down to the beach. There are plenty of screens in both but would probably fall into the category of crap pubs though.

Bumped into Kell Brook while I was there as it goes.

Anyway, enjoy. I'm predicting a Desmond.

All these Wenger's comments and reports just prove that he wants to win as so much and even to try and steal the tittle from us, but all this should give Jose another reason why to win this match, grab our 3 points and shut thm up.

You may find it cringeworthy but a win for Arsenal changes the dynamic of our rivalry. Jose has always had Wenger's number and their fans and players know that. A win for them this weekend exposes some cracks in that hoodoo whilst a win for us reminds them that however good they think they are, however good a run they've been on (and it has been very good in my opinion) that Jose will always come out on top.

They think they're a different team from the one that started the season, they think that they've turned some corner and that 'next year will be their year' and they will want to start proving that now because that's all this match is about. They know they can't win the title so it's about laying down a marker (sorry, but it's the best term to describe it) for next season.

football is on everywhere in spain, even in the restaurants, be careful of those waves out there blue, they bite hard!

How many winning sprees have Chelsea ended recently? United 8 games streak, Citys 10, Liverpool's 10.

Arsenal are next surely. C'mon you blues.

We just need to press them very well, and I'm sure they'll make mistake, we have to pounce it on em'. It will be tough as they are in good form, but still we are much more capable of beating them.

Would love to win at Arsenal. Not only to get one over them but to give us the chance to win the title at Leicester. Would be one of the best away trips anyone has had if we can win it there.

Yeah that's why I said sorry, had a crap day of meetings and no time to check properly so thought I'd post anyway just in case as my daughter sent it to me!
