another rock solid performance, first time arsenal have failed to score at home this season i think

That's right, on that Arsenal forum they're saying we parked the bus yada yada, end of the day the best chance of the match fell to us for Rami. Also of all the pen appeals ours was the most stone wall on Oscar.

Earliest we can do it is against Palace.

May have to wait till Liverpool

Absolute worst we have to wait till the Hawthrones.

Good thing that we're probably going to do it at Stamford Bridge.

Wenger coming up after the break whose betting he says Arsenal should have won?

I wonder if they will ask him about the penalties. He will probably say none of them were pens if he is asked.

Well that was almost certainly Arsenal's best chance to get back into the title race gone...and for all of the hype, Wenger's abysmal head-to-head vs Mourinho continues. Say what you like about the man, but he knows how to negotiate these big games.

If it was AVB we probably would have lost 5-0.

and of course the ref got it absolutely right that no penalties were given..............

betcha he will goto his classic line, 'I didn't see it clearly' - he is a mug & loved how Jose ignored him this time around - IMHO this what matters

As much as I love Didier Drogba I think the time has come to look to one of our young guys in these situations. Solanke or Brown could have done that second half job up front and if Bamford was with us he could cover that too

Yeah probably AVb tactical clown

regarding the penalty on Oscar, from The Guardian live commentary

"20 mins: Cazorla plays a pass down the right, nominally for Bellerin, but it’s errant. Rather than chasing the ball down, Bellerin complains about the poor nature of the pass, which seems a bit off, young man.

Yogesh P writes, on the ‘penalty’ incident: “Well if it was a foul then the referee would have stopped play. As it were, he gave play on to Chelsea, but they didn’t score. Can you imagine the furore if he had stopped play and if they has scored, and the goal had been disallowed ? Perfect call by the referee.”

Playing the advantage, perhaps? The one and only thing football can learn from rugby, that."

well... sorry, but football ALREADY learned that from Rugby long ago. If ENGLISH referees did not learn new FIFA rules it´s another question.

a football referee can totally wait to see what happens before blowing the whistle. He can wait to see if a goal will be scored or a pass will be completed, and if there is no advantage, blow the whistle to call a foul or penalty.

that happens in plenty of leagues around the world. We should question why people even are wondering about this rule in the Premier League...

so close to that coveted 4th place title #COYG

A performance of Champions. We simply didn't allow them to get a proper foothold in the game. Defensively we have been a masterclass since the Spurs debacle, big players and characters come to the front.

Tbh I don't think it's inconceivable to think Hull might get something against them a week on Monday, Arsenal probably now feel there title challenge (if we can call it that) is gone and Hull are fighting for their lives so dropping to 4th could be likely. I've said for the past few weeks I still think City will get second.
