Ted Lasso was brilliant so I agree, it’s worth a fiver just for that. I don’t have Apple TV though because it’s easier just to pirate stuff than keep track of what’s available on which service. Do they have anything else as good as Ted Lasso?

Season 2 of For All Mankind finished yesterday and it’s been brilliant. Takes a lot to keep my attention nowadays with all the distractions but it did it It’s essentially the Russians winning the race to the moon, the space race, Cold War never and soviet regime never ending. They’re skipping forward to 1995 for season 3 so I hope Euro 96 makes an appearance!

July 9, 20215 yr This is from a show called I think you should leave it's absolutely hilarious although won't be everyone's cup of tea a lot of swearing in this sketch.
August 12, 20214 yr A series about the Bolyens which starts on BBC tomorrow, Suspect I'll watch it but I do get annoyed when most of the dramas and documentaries about the Tudors are about the reigns of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. Yes, a lot of changes happened in those reigns but it would be helpful and informative if there were programmes about Henry VII, Edward VI and Mary I. Knowing about the reign of Henry VII gives people an understanding of the commencement of the Tudor Dynasty. Would Henry VIII have been able to do what he did if he didn't have access to the money accumulated by his father? Henry VII also saw off most but not all of his rivals. As for Edward VI, a number of measures were taken in his reign to make England more Protestant. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p09jgk2r Edited August 12, 20214 yr by Boyne
August 21, 20214 yr Bob Dylan: The Other Side of the Mirror. Tells of Dylan's appearances at the Newport Festival in 1963, 1964 and 1965. The appearance in 1965 wasn't popular with some people who were there as Dylan played electric rather than acoustic in the previous two years. Pete Seeger and others tried to cut the power.
October 4, 20214 yr Squid Game on Netflix. It’s like a South Korean version of the Hunger Games, but way better. It’s tense, thrilling and brimming with great characters.
October 7, 20214 yr i found this show by accident a couple of years ago, chris morris is great Edited October 7, 20214 yr by azpi28
October 9, 20214 yr Anyone caught The Cleaner on BBC with Greg Davies? I stumbled on to it last week, he’s on telly three nights a week now!

Him, Romesh and Rylan are on everything tv and radio. Romesh is pretty funny but he's spreading himself so thin he's going to be the new host of The Weakest Link as well.
October 9, 20214 yr Watched Midnight Mass on Netflix heavily influenced by Salem's Lot and there's a lot of religious dogma but is pretty good say a three and a half out of five.
October 10, 20214 yr You can add Bradley Walsh to the ubiquitous list he's starring in a remake tonight of that fluffy bollocks The Darling buds of May.

I think he’s on everyday of the week. He’s on two channels at the same time on Saturdays! Alma’s Not Normal on the BBC is pretty good
October 27, 20214 yr https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01074b8/the-last-goon-show-of-all Watched the Last Goon Show of All on BBC 4 last night. Programme was recorded in 1972 to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the BBC. Absolutely brilliant and very funny. For me, the Goons, Peter Cook and Tony Hancock are the finest comedians and comedy writers of all time. Often different types of humour but they were brilliant in what they did and created incredible legacies.
