@Boyne @erskblue Ross Kemp Does A Lovely Bit Of Diving (or something like that) - two episodes in and he’s done a few WWII Wrecks and Britains prototype Submarine Aircraft Carrier that I didn’t know was a thing. Very interesting with added fake danger because Ross Kemo.

@Munkworth Thank you. Looks good. I don't have Sky history but will find another way to watch it. I've seen pictures of the submarine aircraft carrier. The Germans and the Japanese had submarines with one aeroplane on each and it was launched from a 'runway'. The aeroplane was fitted with floats.

I was essentially a seaplane attached to a steam powered launcher. I might do a bit of digging - it was very interesting but sadly sank during trials with all 60 personnel onboard.

Don't usually go for any superhero stuff but have just finished watching the Peacemaker series with John Cena. Doesn't take itself very seriously and had lots of laugh out loud moments. Even the missus enjoyed it and she usually hates these sort of shows.

Just watched the first episode of Pistol really clunky and the  acting is straight out of Grange Hill the bloke playing Steve Jones is more wooden than Epping Forest. He's obviously a posh boy trying to play a working class boy and it's utterly unconvincing.

Yes, yes, yes. The Boys!! It's back!

Just watched the first episode of series 3 and I need a stiff drink and a lie down in a dark room.

Ah man I’m about to watch this. You’ve scared me now!

Blueblur every episode of The Boys seems to be more shocking than the Red Wedding episode in GoT.

Well…I didn’t expect that. Mental!

I knew this was gonna be a special programme from the very first episode when A Train runs through Hughie's girlfriend and he is left standing there holding the stumps of her arms!!

A speed boat driven through a Whale, a super evil Superman having a w**k on top of a skyscraper, the greatest bitch fight in TV history and now exploding heads! The story board meetings for this programme must have some serious drugs being passed round to the ideas people.

Last night I watched the first episode of Noble House. The series was made in 1988 and I watched it on Talking Pictures. The series is adapted from the book of the same name written by James Clavell and is set in Hong Kong in the early 1960s. Noble House tells of the political and financial struggles and battles of the time. It's years since I've read the book but from what I recall of it the TV series is a fairly good adaptation of it. Pierce Brosnan plays the lead role of Ian Struan Dunross. Hope to watch the remaining episodes. I found the book today on one of the many bookshelves I have in my house. The book is paperback and is held together by sellotape. Shows how old the book is and how many times I read it. Time to read it again.

Clavell only wrote six books and the most famous of them are probably King Rat and Shogun. He also wrote a number of screenplays including The Great Escape.

Winning Time: Rise of the Lakers

I didn't really know what to expect from this series, I'm not a basketball fan. Very enjoyable series, possibly not for the sports purest, who might expect more court action. John C Reilly plays Dr. Jerry Buss very convincingly, worth a watch.

rewatching the Wire

Good shout! Have you seen the 'sequel' to The Wire? It's called We Own This City and is on Sky/NowTv. It's written and produced by the same people and follows cops in Baltimore.

Really good!
