February 13, 20224 yr Watched ‘This is going to hurt’ on BBC which is based on the memoirs by the same name by Adam Kay. A good drama with some great comedy following a Junior Doctor in a labour and all the sh*te that goes with it. Perfect 5/7 for me.

I’ve also been watching the new Reacher tv series on Amazon. For all you Smallville fans from back in the day, (probably no-one), Reacher is played by the dude who played Aquaman. It’s nice to actually see someone who looks the part at last. It’s good- cracking fight scenes!

February 14, 20224 yr @erskblue and @Munkworth A programme which you may be interested in. First episode of three on BBC 2 at 9pm today. It's called the Rise of the Nazis and tells of Germany's war with the Soviet Union or Hitler against Stalin. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p09jgldz

He’s not allowed to watch it now.

February 18, 20224 yr Just finished the Peacemaker series, follows on from the last suicide squad film and is written/directed by James Gunn of Guardians of the Galaxy fame. I think it’s brilliant and I’m not a fan of DC based movies/shows. The soundtrack and opening credits are great too…

Only twelve episodes made and I think it's one of those shows where the writers knew when to stop. I think that there are some shows where the writers, producers etc carry on writing, producing etc for the sake of it and the programmes lose some spark and start to look jaded.

April 3, 20224 yr @Munkworth and @erskblue Trailer for the programme about the SAS which is due to be broadcast later in the year. Hopefully will show the contributions of Jock Lewes - who was David Stirling's deputy and co-founder of the Regiment - and the Long Range Desert Group.
April 3, 20224 yr My missus really likes it I've sat through a few episodes surely the most overrated show of recent times is Killing Eve. The most annoying thing is the soundtrack which seems to consist of too cool for school jazzy breathy singers and there's a song played in every second or third scene.
April 12, 20224 yr Watching the Rise of The LA Lakers miniseries with John C Reilly. Don't have a scooby doo about basketball but enjoying it so far.

ITs really good isnt it, I have no idea about the Basketball stuff but its a great series. John C Reilly is excellent, quite like the style its all done in.
April 18, 20224 yr Anyone watching The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe on ITV? Serialisation of John Darwin (aka JOHN JONES!) who faked his own death in the early 2000s for insurance money. My favourite podcast deep dived it a few months ago so I’ve been looking forward to it.
