July 17, 20224 yr Another attempt and another complete failure to make a half decent job of Resident Evil. If you’re in to your teenage drama more than the zombie apocalypse then this one’s for you.

Not my sort of genre at all but I am enjoying this and getting Pat Nevin vibes from the lead.
August 9, 20223 yr Show's that I've watched recently that I would recommend. Severance. The Old Man. Slow Horses. Black Bird. Only Murders in the Building. Dark Winds. Better Call Saul although the last few episodes seem to be style over substance.
September 15, 20223 yr I've found Wheeler Dealers on Quest channel and they buy older cars to repair or enhance to make money. Quite neat as you see what they pay and what they make and often you learn a bit too as the mechanic explains his best practises.

I know it’s by the American Horror Story dudes but Evan Peters is perfect casting.
October 15, 20223 yr Classic Albums on Sky Arts. This episode is about Deep Purple's Machine Head. A great album and a great band.
October 16, 20223 yr anyone here ever seen Lilya 4-Ever? one of the saddest movies i've seen probably with Dancer in the Dark a close second
October 18, 20223 yr Have to admit that there aren't many TV programmes that I look forward to watching but SAS: Rogue Heroes which starts on the BBC at 30 October should be good. Good to see that Jock Lewes will be mentioned in the programme. Stirling acknowledged the role of Lewes in setting up the Regiment. I hope that the Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) is mentioned in the programme. The LRDG played a pivotal role in the early days of the SAS. @erskblue and @Munkworth you may already know that the programme is due to be broadcast.

Bit off subject but Ben Macintyre on whose book the programme is based recently spoke at the National Army Museum about his latest book, Colditz: Prisoners of the Castle. A good lecture. In the book - which I bought - some of the British Officers including Douglas Bader come over as trying to replicate outside life i.e. the class system in the castle. I've read a few of Macintyre's books and they are great reads.

October 27, 20223 yr Guillermo de Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities. Reminds me of the old Tales of the Unexpected. First two have been very good so far.
November 2, 20223 yr A bit off subject but today is the 40th anniversary of the first broadcast of Channel 4 in the U.K. Up until then there only three channels in the U.K. Goodness knows how many channels there are now.
