With the way the league is this season, i can easily see Arsenal winning it. If any of the top sides go on a run of 7 wins in a row, i think they will win it.

I think under Sherwood they would at least have a go, they'd concede a lot of goals but they would at least score on or two because they were creating chances. Remi Garde is trying to get them to keep possession and thus limit the amount of goals they concede but they're creating absolutely nothing, the football is absolutely dire. I've always thought relegation sides trying to get the ball down and play constant possession football was ridiculous, first Poyet's Sunderland now this mess

That's a good point. Villa have nothing to gain by being a passing side with no attack. They are going down as things stand - at least show some fight. I feel sorry for their fans as the club seems to have less than zero ambition.

I can't take to Verthongen - he does seem a dirty player despite playing for us.

Too many players think it's okay to wrap their arms round others at corners - it would be given as a foul anywhere else on the pitch so why not in the box? My biggest pet-hate in football.

That and shirt pulling are a real issue. Football badly needs a consistent application of the laws and a respectful attitude towards officials by players.

Bad result for us today if WBA hold on as it puts us 7 points back of them...it is so hard being down at the bottom half when the teams around you are winning where you wouldn't expect them to; once you are cut adrift its nigh on impossible to claw your way back.  Pressure is certainly on for the lads to get something out of tomorrow's game and the games over the holidays.

Our situation right now demands that we get into the middle of the pack and work our way out from there.  If we get cut adrift from the middle pack its going to be a struggle fighting down among the bottom 5 or 6 clubs as they are used to being there and up for a scrap..we on the other hand are not.

Neither can I generally..but right now any team around us needs to start dropping points. We are not going to get any European spots. I can take mid table this year because that's how we have been playing. Sad to say that our main rivals are, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Swansea, Norwich, Sunderland and Villa.
