Ah but there are some who are more than willing to take the morale high ground over such a disgusting state of affairs

I can't believe the number of young girls blaming the victim on social media. 'Up for it', 'let him' , my god there's a lot of education to be done. Many comments talk about him cheating and losing his career rather than what he's done. And focussing on his 'hot' girlfriend. Mind boggling.

Looks like my wanting to see the best in people has backfired again. Now that we know more of the facts I can categorically say that Adam Johnson is a sick individual who deserves more than the probable two or so years he'll get.

Moving on, I really can't wait to see Leicester beat those gooners!!!

It's decent to consider innocence before guilt, but the evidence is now coming out. Not good for football and I think he'll be made an example, Rolf got 6 we'll see.

Come on Leicester!

As a father of a young daughter I find it unbelievable that people aren't angry about what this scumbag has done and laughably make justifications for forgiveness...the sheer notion of an adult doing this to my little girl makes my blood boil and yet people are prepared to make allowances for his behavioir and that of his Mrs, who by standing by him is condoning his sick behaviour

Many on social media saying 15 is not a child, as if, but he's also almost twice her age. Imho even if she was 16 , that with a 28 year old may be legal but I would question if it's moral.

As adults we know 15 year olds are kids and not to take advantage of that. The way he covered his tracks is awful and shows he knew it was wrong. That young girl's first sexual encounter was hidden and secret behind a Chinese, that will affect her self perception and future relationships. I feel sorry for her family as some are trying to out her despite the court issuing a warning.

I asked the duchess why on earth any woman would stand by him. She said she wouldn't be able to as she'd be in prison having cut his cock off. Rant done.

He had to google legal age of consent...says it all...as if her being 16 would have made it any better...scumbag...my Mrs would kill me for fooling around with an adult, let alone with a kid...

Like I said, I just don't understand why she's standing by him and fact he's a multi-millionaire has to raise suspicion over her motives...anyone with a soul would kick him to the kerb, whether he's father to their child or not..,who'd want that anywhere near their child?

But if she did kick him to the curb, There would be some who would say she jumped ship when the going got tough for her man, She's in a lose/lose position so whatever she decides to do, She will be criticized, I just don't think she is the person who should be bearing the brunt of people's anger in this case.

Who said she should be bearing the brunt? Certainly not me...the anger at Adam johnson is a given...I'm just incredulous how anyone can stand by someone that can do such a thing and amazed so many don't feel the same...anything but a lose/lose in my opinion...who would criticise her for leaving a sleazeball that cheated on her with an underage schoolgirl? No-one...she would have all the sympathy in the world

What a sick bar steward, she was a fan of the player and the club and he took complete advantage of that. It's bad enough as it is but if she didn't tell her friends and her parents it would have been even worse. I just don't understand how his partner can stick by him after this.

He's a sick nonce, and a sexual predator. Very few 14/15 girls are mature enough to take responsibility for the consequences that come from entering into a sexual relationship. She was vulnerable. He prayed on her. Really hope he gets a rough time in prison.

I hope you don't mean me in that reference for forgiveness. If so, you haven't understood what I meant at all.

Would never try to defend a preditor but I've seen stories where say a 20 year old has been punished and life ruined because he slept with a girl who stated she was 18 when in fact she was 15 - and in those instances I feel very sorry for the 'preditor', are sexual partners supposed to ID each other now? But that's a story for a different day.

However, after reading the transcript and everything that took place this is text book grooming, he was luring her to him, playing on her love for the club. She also definitely sounded more reluctant than I originally thought, she didn't lie to him, she didn't come on to him, he instigated everything and kept on at her. Utterly disgusting.

As for the girlfriend... Well, none of us have been in her shoes (I hope!) so if you live in a glass house don't throw stones and all that. My first reaction when seeing her in the pictures made me think it was all about the £££ as they're not married. If they were she could walk off into the sunset with 50%. Ched Evans' girlfriend also stood by him after his conviction, I don't think I could stay with a partner who cheated on me, let alone with a minor or an unwilling participant... but I've never been there and as Val said, every situation is different. Personally I think she's making herself look like a money grabbing fool, but without asking her or knowing her, who am I to judge?

Adam Johnson though, pure scum.

Here's the transcript for those who have not read it, if you don't want to read it because it's distressing them don't continue with this post. Also why is no one asking how he got her number or email address for Whatsapp???

TEXT MESSAGE TRANSCIPTS: THE JURY HEARD JOHNSON AND THE TEENAGE GIRL EXCHANGED 834 ONLINE MESSAGES DURING A TWO-MONTH PERIOD

He messaged her on WhatsApp in late December 2014 and asked if she believed it was him.

Girl: Still not 100 per cent sure ha ha

Johnson: You sound a bit unsure lol x

Girl: I don’t know it’s just surreal ha ha

Johnson: Why?

Girl: Like you are my favourite footballer. You could update your Twitter saying Happy New Year and then I’d believe it’s you.

(He then sends the requested Tweet)

Girl: Ok I believe you.

Johnson: Lol

(He agrees to sign her club shirt and they chat about plans for New Year’s Eve)

Johnson: Where are you going out at?

Girl: …I’m not old enough to go out

Johnson: Yeah but you look old enough

Girl: No believe me when I say I’m 15

Johnson: Ages then lol

(Later they chat about the girl being shy and her ability to handle alcohol)

Girl: It seems like I’m the only one who can handle vodka

Johnson: Bet you are not shy with vodka

Girl: No not at all

(Later Johnson talks about their meeting)

Johnson: Thought I would get a proper thank you kiss for the shirt

Girl: Didn’t ask

Johnson: Well I can come back and get one

Girl: Why didn’t you ask us for the thank you kiss?

Johnson: I just didn’t think you would have wanted to

Girl: Wouldn’t have bothered me

Johnson: You are meant to want to kiss someone

Girl: Well I do want to absolutely

Johnson: Well we need to make it happen then

Girl: And we will then

(Later they continue)

Johnson: Am I only getting a kiss?

Girl: It depends on what else you are after

Johnson: Dunno depends on what you are up for. A little bit more than kissing.

(After their encounter)

Johnson: Think we had better go in the back next time

Girl: Yeah yeah

Johnson: That wasn’t convincing

Girl: Sorry my hands are freezing

Johnson: Was worth it though

Girl: Do you think?

Johnson: Do you not?

Girl: Yeah was checking that you did

Johnson: Yeah was class. Just wanted to get your jeans off.

He asked her for her mob number via Facebook.

Miss Flounders' silent acquiescence condones the targeting and manipulation of a minor surely?

Football does not need or want this. An associate of Cameron escaped jail recently after sex with a thirteen year old because he 'didn't know', will be interesting to see the sentence Adam Johnson receives.

That didn't even occur to me, didn't even think of it in that sense, very good point.

He is indeed scum, and the justice system is dealing with him. As for her, there are no laws or rules telling her what to do. She is free to make her own decision. If that decision is not what many people would have done, doesn't make it wrong.  What probably the majority would do, which would be dumping him, doesn't make that the right thing to do. There is no right or wrong here. Don't tear into her for making choices going against your own morals, and don't tear into people saying it's her choice. There is only one villain here, and he's in court.

Someone on TV just called Dyche a ginger Mourhino! Puke!

They have been saying that for a few years now, i don't know where they get that from, he isn't anywhere near Mourinho's level.

Exactly, talk about contrast in performance and appearance.

Don't tear into her for making choices going against your own morals, and don't tear into people saying it's her choice.

As far as I'm aware I didn't?
