That's a pen all day long

It's harsh to say we should've signed Kante because 18 other clubs failed to but we've had great success signing from France before, perhaps more than any other team in the Premier League, we've clearly got scouting there since we got Azpi, Hazard (pfft), and Djilobodgi from there in recent years and we've had players like Pasalic, Boga, Rodriguez and Delac out on-loan there so you have to wonder what our club actually knew of him.

 

There's not a box he doesn't really tick so it's odd that he would've have been on our radar at least.

I mean if you want to be technical then yeah, it's a penalty but Vardy quite clearly throws himself at Monreal in order to create the contact. Like I said, don't blame him. He was presented with the option to do that with Monreal sticking his leg out and he took advantage. 

 

Not something I like to see though.

Vardy makes the penalty, but he can't do that if Monreal doesn't dangle his leg out there in the first place.

 

I think in that case you have to give the advantage to the attacker but if that goes against us I'm fuming.

Was bringing the girlfriend out for a meal tonight but if this result stays the same I might stay in and watch arsenal fan TV.

On a second watch yeah, Monreal sticks his leg out and doesn't get the ball so Vardy is really entitled to run into it, just didn't look like a natural foul on first view.

 

The handball is iffy, he kinda looks like he moves his arm to it very subtly, must be a natural reaction to want to stop it with his arm. Still though, if those are never given why the hell does Ivan and some others in our team put their arms behind their backs creating a handicap to their mobility? Have to say if it was us the ref would think about giving it though to be honest.

Wouldn't mind seeing Mahrez get booked for that.
