Arsene has to go at the end of this season. If they can't win it now, they'll never win it.

City have gone into freefall in the league, losing 3 on the bounce. They could miss out on Champions League.

We could actually have Leicester, Arsenal, West Ham and Spurs representing us in the Champions League which is a shocking indictment of the quality of English football.

I'm sure they come out with this crap every season- wasn't it Nasri last year? For all their money, they've never produced a dominant team- both their titles were due to Man Utd and Liverpool collapsing in the last month or two.

City players love to talk a lot.

Just can't imagine Pep thought he might be taking over a Europa League side...crazy stuff

I hope he stays

There fans booed at the full time whistle, I think this is the season that's been the best chance for them. He's gonna rue not getting a striker in Jan.

I'm starting to wonder with the PL money been so huge is CL football as important as it once was. I mean sure it might effect getting certain players but look at United attracting the calibre of player like Di Maria (even if it didn't work out) without any European football. I think the CL has lost some of its allure.

What price José to the Gooners?

I think this is the moment the fans turn en masse. They can take losing to City or Us but I think losing out to an average team like Leicester when the title was up for grabs is too much.

Plus there's all that 'Mind The Gap' bollocks with Spurs. Finishing behind them would make it doubly worse.

Just such a ridiculous season.

I wonder if, partly, games like this evenings are the result of a lot of PL teams still having things to play for. West Ham - top four; Swansea - survival, etc. Of course, Newcastle disproves my theory but the league standings are close in terms of points.

Would be funny to see two decades of Wenger torn apart by Jose and turned into something else. Think he might knock down the Emirates and build a whole new stadium just to needle Arsene.

Pellegrini out, Mourinho out, Wenger out, Van Gaal out, Klopp still new.....feels like the end of an era and the start of something new.

you could be right. those stories today about the big clubs meeting to discuss a European League suggest that Bayern, PSG and the big Italian clubs want a bigger slice of the cake. The thing that puzzled me was why they had LIverpool represented - one CL season in 7 years - that's about as good as Rosenberg

I heard that, sounds like a terrible idea. One things for sure if that happens I will be walking away from football for good.

My last thought about this evening is that no one is truly in form. All sides can lose to other sides (except Villa) on a given day. All that's certain is that Leicester have the title to lose and that pressure is getting to some teams.

This has been discussed time and again since the 1970s. It won't happen. Just the big clubs flexing their muscle for a better share of the TV cash cow when the new deal gets discussed.

the only in-form side is Chelsea. unbeaten in 12 league games. the only side not to have lost at least 1 of their last 10. if we had had anything like this form in the first 4 months of the season we'd be tussling with Leicester too - such a shame

Big fan of Liverpool. I've always, ahem, said it.

A loss tonight will feel less bad if City and Arsenal slip up.

Spud, as much as I dislike the team you follow I have mostly enjoyed  your posts here until this aberration. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it was irony ?!

Likewise WeatherMan. It was 110% irony :-)

Don't even think it's about form. Maybe with the new money there's a much more level playing field, but there's no standout sides in all honesty. That's great for competition but I think it's horribly exposed when English teams compete in the Champions League.

Rather than having a few great teams at the top and the rest also-rans like you have in Spain or Germany, you have some good teams and some average teams all of whom can take points off each other.

Makes the Premier League more exciting but also puts it in danger of being seen as lower quality.

Fair point. CFC's revival under Hiddink has been impressive and you are not far from the top four. I hope the revival, particularly the use of some fresh blood, continues.

Arsenal fan tv will be fun as usual

Ty: It's not impossible! Win the remaining games!

Claude: GET REAL! THE MILK IS STALE! WE NEED NEW MILK!

Well that couldn't really have gone a lot better, shame it had to be Liverpool and West Ham to do it mind...

Walking out of the West Brom game yesterday I didn't really imagine that Leicester would ultimately have extended their lead 24 hours later.
