April 22, 201610 yr Aston villa are an absolute shambles, I actually feel sorry for there fans. "Aston Villa defender Jores Okore is refusing to play for the club, according to caretaker boss Eric Black. The 23-year-old Denmark international refused to be on the bench for the visit of Bournemouth on 9 April and is now training with the club's under-21s. "After that game, he said that he didn't want to be considered for any of the games going forwards," said Black. "I didn't have a choice apart from remove him. I don't want people who don't want to be at Aston Villa." Villa's relegation from the Premier League was confirmed with last weekend's defeat at Manchester United. On Friday, owner Randy Lerner released a statement accepting blame for the end of the club's 28-year stay in the top flight. That came at the end of a week in which directors David Bernstein and Mervyn King left the club and striker Gabriel Agbonlahor was suspended for being pictured with what is alleged to be laughing gas." I suppose this is the flip side of the modern game - the mercenary nature of some players, the failure to accept responsibility, and the lack of fight. It's pretty shameful and Villa fans have been poorly served. Straight down another division is my prediction, unless they get a decent manager.
April 22, 201610 yr I agree, they could easily drop another league . I don't know how a new manager could work out who was willing to work, etc over the summer. When Villa have been so awful (some PL players have scored more goals than Aston Villa this season) where do you start?
April 22, 201610 yr Can you imagine the remaining coaches report ha ha. It would be the insane scribbles of a broken man.
April 23, 201610 yr Villa need to hire one David Moyes, that feels about right for both partiesBe surprised if David moyes took over a championship team, I can see moves going to celtic though.Villa should go for Bruce if hull don't go up, or maybe Pearson. Edited April 23, 201610 yr by big blue
April 23, 201610 yr French media reporting liverpools Sakho has been suspended for a positive doping test. This should be fun.

April 23, 201610 yr So what are City fans protesting today? All those empty seats because they want Pellegrini gone? Someone should tell them.
April 23, 201610 yr French media reporting liverpools Sakho has been suspended for a positive doping test. This should be fun. Apparently it is a fat-burning drug. Well, we have speculated that it's been happening. Edited April 23, 201610 yr by Spudulike

April 23, 201610 yr Shearer is bang on about Stones. People can't keep letting him get away with making these mistakes. Like he said, he either isn't listening, or isn't learning. Stones has potential, but so does many other players, and the majority don't make it at the highest level. There is no doubt that Stones has gone backwards this season. Or Phil Jagielka? Remember when JT came through and learnt from Marcel Desailly, Franck Lebouef, Ricci Carvalho, Ranieri and Mourinho? Do you think that made a difference?
April 23, 201610 yr Listening to Roberto Martinez? Or Phil Jagielka? Remember when JT came through and learnt from Marcel Desailly, Franck Lebouef, Ricci Carvalho, Ranieri and Mourinho? Do you think that made a difference? I'm sure it helped, but John Terry became a good player because he made himself that way, Terry was always going to be world class. Stones isn't the only player to be surrounded by average players, if he's good, he should be learning from his mistakes, not having excuses made for him.
April 23, 201610 yr No atmosphere in this FA Cup semi at all, just showed United fans faces and they looked like they were sh*tting themselves.
April 23, 201610 yr I'm sure it helped, but John Terry became a good player because he made himself that way, Terry was always going to be world class. The one person who will disagree with that stronger than anyone is John Terry, and if he was always going to be world class then why did we consider selling him? Truth is he was a great prospect but no-one thought he was 'always going to be world class'. So many things can happen when players come through that such certainties don't exist in the real world. Stones isn't the only player to be surrounded by average players, if he's good, he should be learning from his mistakes, not having excuses made for him. I might be wrong but I think you're saying that coaches really don't matter too much, and that players' advice isn't influential either. JT has spoken many times of the impact Desailly had on him. I think Stones needs that type of mentor too. In fact I think every great player in history would have a similar story, like Baresi on Maldini or Guardiola on Xavi.
April 23, 201610 yr Playing Gibson in an F.A cup semi final, a guy who has only played 24 games in the last 3 seasons, weird.
April 23, 201610 yr In fairness to LVG, he has brought some very talented youngsters into Utd's first team. Rashford looks promising.

Would he have done it he didn't have so many injuries though ? i don't think it's something that he wanted to do, it's been forced on him, he's fortunate that it's worked out for him.
