Agreed, it help that Zola was universally liked, whereas Bergkamp wasn't very likeable at all

Probably one of the more "coup-like" signings would have been Rooney. Would have been deadly combo have Hazard, Willian, Rooney behind Costa. Since Rooney could also slot in as striker if need be, would have been a nice signing.

 

Yet again, we have been linked with Messi, Ronaldo, Ibra, Neymar, Isco, Pogba, Aguero, Lewandowski, Ribery, Schweinsteiger and the list goes, there will always be "missed" signings.
