September 2, 201510 yr Defoe never moved directly from Charlton to Tottenham; West Ham gave him a professional contract after he was in Charlton's youth team. Charlton were only ever awarded a couple of million in compensation. Oh yeah you're right sorry
September 2, 201510 yr ????? yep cos every Liverpool fan you spoke to in the 1980's could see a time in the near future they would have to wait 25 years to win the league .... jog on newbie the sense of accomplishment you have from signing on this forum before me is quite sad actually.
September 2, 201510 yr Author the sense of accomplishment you have from signing on this forum before me is quite sad actually. But he really appreciates how kids still in single digits can use technology..
September 2, 201510 yr But he really appreciates how kids still in single digits can use technology.. Ah, your reason for this false sense of superiority is even more mundane. It's because you were born before someone else.
September 2, 201510 yr Ah, your reason for this false sense of superiority is even more mundane. It's because you were born before someone else. Mine is because I'm not a complete c**t.
September 2, 201510 yr Which games have you seen, Michael440? Almost every game he was a game changer, last year. That's why he's player of the year in Germany. Have you seen his games in Europe? Everton, Bluedrake55? If De Bruyne had played your final against Bayern Münich, you guys had won that Super Cup. Have you seen his games against Bayern, Michael440? The last one? But you are right. It will not be easy in the best championship of the world. It will be certainly a great challenge. I've seen many matches where he played. Yes he was game changer but that is in Bundesliga. Like I said its not PL. and yeah I've seen him playing in Europa League. PL is brutal, faster tempo league that's why a lot of players don't do well here. Don't gete wrong, he will score here and there but he won't be PL sensation and player of the year. Edited September 2, 201510 yr by Michael440
September 2, 201510 yr hazard needs a couple games rest and we play pedro in his place and kenedy at right wing. the vast amount of games he played last season is obviously catching up to him now. eden isn't a player like azpilicueta who can go all day because his stamina is immense, eden has had to adapt since jose took over and it's obvious he isn't one of the fittest in the team, so allowing him adequate rest time is important in him maintaining his form. i agree that it's most likely ivanovic has lost steam, seemingly in the same way eden has and it's catching up to him also, or maybe it's his age and he isn't a player whom can play that right back role as consistently any longer. give them both rest and see what happens after. I think hazard needs to play to get back to form. He had long vacation over the summer. Just my opinion
September 3, 201510 yr But that would be nice. Imagine. Player of the year! Or Kevin, the sensation and Thibaut the player of the year!
September 3, 201510 yr Is that possible in the PL? A goalkeeper, player of the year? Schmeichel won it in 95/96
September 3, 201510 yr But that would be nice. Imagine. Player of the year! Or Kevin, the sensation and Thibaut the player of the year! It would be smack in our faces but it won't happen. Too many excellent players in PL. KDB is not better than Hazard, Aguero, I actually don't think he's better than Pedro, maybe in a few years. But I'm curious how he will do this season.
September 4, 201510 yr Sorry I didn't clarify it. I mean it would be smack in our faces if KDB became best player in PL after we let him go. Edited September 4, 201510 yr by Michael440
September 4, 201510 yr How many players that were "Chelsea standard" we're actually available to buy during this window? Who did we lose out to that went to other teams? If a team refuses to sell a player you want (i. e. Stones), what can you do? I agree. Not many players we could have b I bought would walk into our first team. We signed everyone we bid for aside from the ones who werent for sale in the first place
September 4, 201510 yr Is that possible in the PL? A goalkeeper, player of the year? Possible but extremely unlikely, I don't think in today's era with so many individual superstars that there will ever be a bland enough field to give the award to a goalkeeper. Every time a superstar moves on , another comes in (Ronaldo then Bale then Suarez then Hazard & Sanchez).
September 4, 201510 yr Never look back, Michael440! Thank you, Jonty! Edited September 4, 201510 yr by Krc-fan
September 4, 201510 yr Obviously we still have 34 games to go, but so far my vote is for David Silva.
September 6, 201510 yr I wonder how KDB is going to react to taking a beating like Hazard, assuming he starts to tear it up. How mentally and physically tough is he? Hella more pressure at City than at Wolfsburg, imo, especially when you cost that much.
September 6, 201510 yr City have had an excellent window. They strengthened for sure. Question is about backup for Aguero if he is injured. I think we could have properly reinforced central midfield and centre half, but perhaps it is about patience. If the right player wasn't available I'd prefer to wait.
September 12, 201510 yr Everything is fine. We obviously didnt need any marquee signings. 4 points from 5 matches is not great, but anything can change until may. City arent better than us at all. If you dont agree, youre just a moaner. Edited September 12, 201510 yr by ArtVandalay
