Fallout 4

Anyone done the quest where they have to return the Deathclaw's Egg?

The Museum of Witchcraft is pretty scary. They do a really good job of building up the tension.

One moment where you turn a corner and you see a figure just standing there. Music peaks. Kind of expect to look back and see that he's disappeared, but alas, he's a mannequin. Genius!

I'm currently shooting sh*t up with a .50 sniper rifle and double explosive shotgun, they are beasts. Barely ever used power armour yet.

Looted an explosive shotgun yesterday.

Haven't come across a .50 sniper rifle yet.

Managed to get Kelloggs Pistol upto 120 attack. Basically just steam rolling everything at the moment. Killed Swan and a Level 61 Legendary Deathclaw.

Only level 22!

Played some fallout tonight...it was pretty eventful...rescued someone from some pyros, found an alien, and then a vault.

Good times.

I went to the witchcracft museum but I think the quest completed just by finding it, so I don't think I went in.

I returned the egg, but the waiting deathclaw attacked me anyway, i think i lingered too long. had to run away as I didn't want to kill it

Going to be getting rid of this. Haven't got the time to sit down and play it for hours and end, I prefer games I can pick up and put down so I guess this isn't really the best game for me.

Does anyone know of anyone who wants a copy for PS4? Happy to sell.

Played some more tonight...while I disliked Mierlurks, I now..really dislike them.

I fought my first Mierlurk Queen....sheeeeeesh. Afterwards I went and explored some more, and in a weird little town, I fought a dozen brutal mierlurks (not normal or softshell).

Shoot the bar stewards in the legs first, cripple them. Then enjoy a nice leisurely shooting the sh*t out of them as they crawl after you.

My problem is...I don't prepare for every situation. I never take out my power armour, so if I meet a big enemy, it invariably kills me a few times before I can formulate a tactic that works. That tactic, bear in mind, doesn't involve heavy weapons...because that's too much to carry around for little ole' me.

But my new tactic is to have my companion carry a missile launcher for me...and if I am entering combat with an enemy that's going to be hard, grab it off them. I think I'll start using power armour more too...I do have some fusion cores to use.

I barely used my power armour in my play through, ended up with about 75 fusion cores.

Was the Mirelurk Queen in the castle, for the Minutemen? I did all the Minutemen quests till then but haven't been able to do that one with the Mirelurk Queen, so am doing the BoS ones now.

It killed me the 1st time so the second time, I put down about 20 mines where it comes out. Then just finished it off with the missile launcher.

Yes, it is....

I eventually killed it by hiding inside the walls, avoiding it's melee and poison attacks. I picked up the missile launcher inside (realised I was carrying 60 missiles). She sent tons of hatchlings at me...so I killed them all in VATS, just with a 10mm, raising my crit metre. When I filled it up, stood in the open doorway, aimed for the queens head, used crit. I ended up using 5 missiles...a fair bit of healing (I couldn't always avoid the poison), and quite a few bullets from my combat rifle. A bit cheesy perhaps, but I couldn't fight it in the open. I don't know if minutemen deaths are scripted...but only one survived (and Preston). Maybe if I killed it faster, more survive...I don't know.

As for Mierlurk King, I haven't faced one...I saw one up in Salem, but ran away...I'd had enough trouble with the many mierlurks I'd already killed up there.

Really enjoying it now, powering through. Still haven't gone beyond Diamond City (haven't gone to Nick Valentine yet) in the main mission.

The bugs are so annoying though. They aren't excusable - there are plenty of open world games of similar or bigger size with just as much content that don't have nearly as many bugs.

There's just a ridiculous amount of heads through walls, guns through arms etc.

Is this on the PC or console? There were a few on PC, but i didn't see much of that.

Barely saw any on PS4, no more than I saw playing Witcher, Watchdogs, Far Cry etc.

On console, fair enough, though I've experienced none in other games on the same console and most gaming websites cite bugs as the reason the game isn't a 10.

Really liking it still, more than I was.
