Fallout 4

Featured Replies

I just keep doing these side-missions for the Minutemen. Seems like they are never going to end. Every settlement I clear out, he gives me another one to do.

"Talk to the inhabitants of the settlement"

"Go and kill raiders bothering the settlement"

"Report back your success to the settlement"

"Talk to Preson Garvey"

Repeat.

That story-arc has certainly got a bit repetitive. Easy way to level up though.

Level 21 currently.

Hit a wall with ranking up as the perks I want such as lock picking and gun nut ranks 3 are locked behind level requirements.

So I need to keep leveling up to progress the perks I want.

Currently throwing points into strength to increase my carrying capacity, the weapons I carry are heavy and I quickly get overburdened when looting when stocking up on crafting materials.

Currently favouring non automatic rifles, have one in particular that's one or two shooting most enemies right now.

My quest to do list is getting pretty long now too, got probably 25 active quests right now.

I lost Dogmeat. No idea where I sent him to.

You're playing this on PC right, Zeta?

Try console commands to find Dogmeat.

1) Save game

2) Press Tilde (~ )

3) Type prid 0001d162 and press Enter

4) Type moveto player and press Enter

5) Press Tilde (~) again to close the console

Spent ages last night trying to find a nice empty settlement I could build up from the ground. Was supposed to be stopping at 11PM, didn't finish until half 12.

I walked past a fence that had blown down at work today and immediately thought "I'll scrap that, I need more wood" ha ha.....

I bought the game for PS4...I'm going to have to just learn how to move around and fight with wiggle sticks.

In fairness...assuming I can get into the game enough to render the inconveniences meaningless...by the time I'm done, I'll be a lot better at using a controller, so there's a plus.

So Ive started playing this now.

I ended up in lexington and theres far too many ghouls for someone who was meant to go to Diamond city.... I may have f**ked up

I've done exactly the same thing!

Sound a sweet underwater sacrificial alter with a cool knife in a mine, as you head deeper into the mine you get flash backs of the people who died there.

Found my first Vault last night, Vault 75, as always some sinister goings on.

Going to try and progress the Minutemen, Brotherhood of Steel and Railroad quest lines over the weekend.

I've intentionally not progressed the main quest yet, not bothered to find Nick Valentine, that can wait until I've explored most the wasteland.

Is it this kremvas knife, or something like that? It's a great melee weapon, here's a little tip though. It's the mod that makes it so good, and it can be taken of and put on a legendary knife.

Haha! I always do stuff like that after sinking loads of hours into a game. I remember playing GTA V for a long time then when I was outside I would see a gap between a wall and a fence and think "I wonder if my character could fit through that".

I'm enjoying the game still. Level 12 I think. It has the potential to be SUCH a great game but I'd say it's just *very good*. One of my save files got corrupted which was annoying and has never happened to me on any game before. I've also noticed several bugs and a few glitches. Glitches are understandable but some of the bugs aren't. I know it's a massive open-world, but I played GTA V and Witcher from launch and I remember one, maybe two bugs in both of those whereas this seems to have quite a few and I've barely scratched the surface.

Despite that, I'm still enjoying my first Fallout game, levelling up nicely and doing quests for both the Minutemen and the Brotherhood of Steel (I suspect I will have to choose between them at some point) I've reached Diamond City as far as the main quest goes but that's it. Just progressing the Miscellaneous quests and faction quests.

Another save game has been corrupted... Luckily I quicksave often. Does anyone know why this keeps happening? It's literally never happened to me in any game, ever before. I don't even know what a corrupted saved game means!

I lost one of my sets, doesn't show up on the map anywhere. So here are the 3 I know where they are:

One is a Raider set

One is the BoS II set

The other one is one I found exploring, only has a few components, but they are better than the BoS ones.

I'm having a lot of fun just exploring at the moment, there's lots of cool stuff if you wander around right up to the edges of the map.
