Fallout 4

Featured Replies

Had an offer to join the Brotherhood of Steel and an offer to lead the Minutemen.

Declined both for now, want to learn more and explore further before committing to a faction.

Accept both, usually in a fallout game you can go with all factions and then get to a point where you need to pick one.

What The f**k??? I bought the game from Game so I wouldn't have to download it, i installed it from disc and it's just opened up a Steam download for 24GB. Which will take me all weekend.

f**k sake.

Good game so far. Despite playing for a few days now I don't feel I've done too much which I never felt with Fallout 3. Some of the things they've taken out are pretty annoying, such as weapon degradation and reverse pick pocketing a grenade not blowing up anymore

I saw a gif on reddit of someone pickpocketing a fusion core from an enemy in power armour, so the instantly get out, then got stabbed in the back.

If I do end up getting the game, that's something I'll try.

Played for about three hours last night and did no quests, just got lost wondering the wasteland.

At level 11 right now and starting to get a feel for the perk tree.

Want to explore the upgrade system more but need to find more materials mainly screws and aluminum. Need to upgrade my gun and science perks to open the upgrades I want too.

Played about 5 hours of this. I think I'm level 5.

I understand the S.P.E.C.I.A.L system and Perk Tree now (thanks FC!) and am planning how to built my character in the long run. I'm focusing in upgrading my S.P.E.C.I.A.L more than specific perks at the moment - hopefully this isn't the wrong thing to do.

The world is great fun to explore - I just wander around till I see a building with a light on and head to it to see what it holds.

Has anyone noticed how everyone stands up so upright? Weird character models.

How about, picking the ones you want to choose.

Is there no post I can make that won't result in some sarcastic comment from you?

I'm in the annoying position of having a tough quest to do, but no bullets for my guns. This is what used to get me stuck on the last fallout!

Can you not buy the ammo you need from a gun vender?

That's what I do, especially if I have a preferred weapon.

Still new to this, didn't know you could! Where do I find one of them? I'm in sanctuary at the minute

Oh okay, literally at the beginning of the game.

In which case just check in as many buildings close to you as you can.

Try to avoid heading straight to objectives, explore as many buildings as you can to loot them.

If you have the quest to head to diamond city (its given to you shortly after the museum bit) then just head there. There are loads of vendors and you haven't got to do anything quest related there immediately either.

I've been doing other quests with the Minutemen and side quests but wish I went to Diamond City earlier.

Ahh got it. I've done the same, got the quest for diamond city but tried to do all the side quests first. Will head there next then

Picked it up yesterday. Traded in Assassin's creed, FarCry 4 and the newest golf game and got £49 from CEX. Was a proper result, didn't expect to get that much at all.

Enjoying the game anyway- played about 2 hours and feel like I've barely tickled the surface, let alone scratched it.

I just keep doing these side-missions for the Minutemen. Seems like they are never going to end. Every settlement I clear out, he gives me another one to do.
