Who the f**k is Emenalo

Featured Replies

just bury your head in the sand then ....the facts stand up and I bet he will be on the bench and very vocal Saturday ..............

Nah I think I would hold my head high, sit in front of my tv early sunday morn and support the club. At least no one can tell me "where were you, when we were sh*t?"

gee...what a great player he turned out to be...enlighten me Syd: how many goals & assists has he had again this year?

1 goal - 3 assists

it distances and deflects any association with a named person hence why is wrong in my view to use that term

I think it's perfectly right when you want to highlight the difference between the one person and the club of many :-)

Best to agree to disagree, there have been enough fallings-out (falling-outs?) already.

Emenalo hasn't discovered a single good player in 8 years. Not a single one.

The good players that we bought in that time - even my grandmother knew about them.

And yet we have a squad of very good players...

While I'm all for the Jose chant tommorw, it worn bring him back. The focus of the fans needs to be...

We want you to go

We want you to go

Emanelo we want you to go...

Piss of

Piss of

Piss of

That should get the message across

Agreed. Guardiola would never put up with this

Yea he would. He already did at Barca. Every top team have a structure like ours, the time were a manager controls everything has passed

hes a mug like the other muppets involved in this piece of treachery with their bonces up RA's posterior hole

how dare he refer to the club's most successful manager as "the individual"

jog on ,  this particular individual brings nothing to the club, absolutely zero, just one more of RA's  puppets

If I remember rightly he has taken a bit of credit in previous seasons over some of his transfer dealings. But if that is the case he deserves to take a big chunk of the blame over our poor dealings in the transfer market over the last year or so.

While there were clearly some issues going on behind the scenes with certain players, perhaps Jose would have been better equipped to deal with the crisis this season if he had been given some of the players he asked for.

I have no doubt Emenalo will be hearing a fair amount of abuse from the fans and it is about time.

I once thought I could never hate someone more than Grant. I was wrong.

Hate, really? Do you have a hate scale, like 10 for the likes of Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot, 8 for terrorists, 5 for pedophiles? How would Emenalo rate?

For those asking, I'll just say my distaste for him started when our #2 man, Ray Wilkins (assistant to Carlo Ancelotti) got mysteriously sacked out of nowhere.

Coincidentally, Emenalo just happens to slot into Wilkins position....even though Carlo doesn't even want him.  Emenalo is foisted on Carlo to the point that Carlo, possibly the nicest and classiest guy ever to win a trophy as our manager, publicly says that Emenalo will be his assistant in name only, but that Emenalo will have NOTHING to do with the first team.

So, thats the only two managers in our club history to win the BPL who both seemed to not like this Emenalo character for any reason.....cant guess why, clearly these managers loved being overruled, irgnored, consulted AFTER drastic/major first team decisions....... Which actually kind of seems like a hallmark since Emenalo arrived, but maybe thats just my bias (You're right, I'm in the Carlo/Jose camp of not really wanting this guy.  Guess what, it's not this impossible task to recruit skilled players when you have Romans money, Chelsea's brand and a squad that is already the envy of many.  It's like giving huge credit to the recruiters of the top law firms or financial firms.  Guess what, doesn't matter who recruits for them, people want to to work at the pinnacle of their profession.  Plus it's not like Emenalo has ever gotten a proven WC player to leave another top club for us, this was a step up for any player Emenalo recruited. I think Mourinho getting Fabregras showed more recruiting talent than anything Emenalo has ever done.  Just saying.)

By the way when that sacking happened, the club was well on pace to pick up a back-to-back BPL title...then the mysterious sacking and then the team just fell apart, eerily similar to this season.

Honestly most of us are over-estimating this man's role at the club.

None of us knows exactly what his role and responsibilities are. People are just looking to find a scapegoat to blame for Mourinho's exit. In 2007 it was Grant, now it's Emenalo.

You want to blame someone, blame Roman, because nothing major happens at the club without his approval.

I'm blaming him for something else too.  Feel free to address it.  Of course Roman can be blamed, but Roman brings a certain value to the club that allows that.  What of Emenalo?

somebody already did that..

to not use the "name" disrespects and infers a lack of respect for the person concerned

He was JUST the spokesman, written probably by a press officer & checked by a lawyer, he does what he is told, not please himself.

Just a common sense approach: Ancelotti and Mourinho are both multiple Champions League winners, they won everything in multiple countries and are known for being engaging, charming personalities. Champions. Winners.

Emenalo? Achieved nothing, opened his mouth twice, both times made a fool of himself. That's it. End of story.

How would the first two ever accept being overruled by this? It just can't work.

I'd rather Abramovich left Chelsea than impose the likes of Grant and Emenalo on this great club.

Nope. I had my reservations about Benitez, but from a rational perspective he did not do a bad job, given the circumstances and the squad he had.
