Could be just some elaborate rumour, however if we did get offered £57mil for Oscar why on earth wouldn't we accept it? Could easily invest in a better number 10 with that kind of money.

 

Obviously a lot of other factors to consider such as Oscar actually agreeing to personal terms etc.. but even so, I believe Chelsea are crying out for a new number 10.

Reason we didn't accept it is due to us knowing that Oscar wouldn't leave for them. He wouldn't agree a contract, and so he'd stay anyway. This way it makes us look like we value him as well

I'd take half of that for Oscar.

My guess is he didn't want to go to China, so we turned down the offer because his agent said it wouldn't work out anyway. I'd take 30M for him, but I doubt there are serious bidders from European clubs.

It does make my blood boil when I hear it reported that members of our team who have failed in such style this year don't want to stay because they want champions league football next year! Bless them, they could have had it had they have played to their potential this year.

Haven't heard about Oscar wanting out.  Wouldn't surprise me...just haven't heard it.  In fact, and this article points it out, all I've heard from Oscar is how he wants to stay.  I'm probably one of the few people left who rates Oscar (when played as a 10 not on the wing), so I may be a bit biased.  I think anything north of 30m is a good selling point.  Even I can admit he has been sporadic in his play for quite some time now...

Knowing we could have got 70m+ for him had he went, think we can hold out a bit and try get a bit more if we do plan on selling him
