Wrong, the link up play at times was fantastic, we took our chances, the desire was back and we defended well, despite the poor goal we conceded at the end.

I think the goal was due to well earned complacency. They knew they had the three points and two big games upcoming. Their minds were probably looking ahead already. Normally complacency is bad, but in this situation they had earned the freedom to be complacent so I don't think it's a big deal from a defense perspective. Makes me a bit worried about Courtois though.

8 points behind Man U,  14 behind Man City and only 36 points to compete for. Focus on FA and CL and we might win something this year, you never know.

 

PSG away will be a tough test, I still think we are shaky defensively. Come on Chelsea !

The crowd seemed quite subdued once the victory was clear and wasn't that enthusiastic toward the players when the game was over. Or was it the sound on my stream?

 

I think the crowed got a bit calmer when JT was subbed off, but overall they were pretty vocal on my stream.

I thought Matic was excellent today, won the ball back and broke up their play, kept it simple.

Newc were poor, but not that poor. Last season we had the best defence. The game in general has lost sight of defence, I'm thinking of the 60s, I hope you're wrong too and we pull out our defence skill of last season.

We were fine defensively, they only scored from a shot outside the box, they hardly ripped us open.

Baba played well when he came on, looks really good going forward as well.

You f**king made my weekend perfect.

Good to get a positive result against one of our bogey teams. Hiddink went for it by leaving Mikel out and starting with Hazard and Pedro. Looks like he just got tired of all those draws.

Good, relaxed workout for the PSG game. But pretty sure Hiddink will bring back Mikel and Oscar for Tuesday.

Costa, Willian and Pedro were terrific. Some of Fabregas' passing from the back was sublime.

Hope Terry is fit for Tuesday. We looked understandably edgy when he left the pitch.

Wrong by 2 goals, but told you we owed them a good Spanking, could of been 8 easiily, i think when we were battering them we actually became a bit sloppy, but what a performance, Pedro, Costa, Willian, but for me Cescs passing was heaven sent, do me a favour with all this media fawning over Ozil..
