N'golo Kante - We are not worthy!

I understand #lcfc offered N'Golo Kante new 4yr contract before Euros which he is considering. Reports of £29m deal with #cfc are "nonsense"

He's the midlands sky sports bloke and is always hanging around the club. So, it might all be just that "nonsense".

You guys bought another defensive midfielder for a club record fee just a few weeks ago didn't you? That would tell me that the club is prepared for Kante leaving.

We want to strengthen the squad, we just bought Musa to break our transfer record again and that doesn't mean Vardy is going. We're replacing the likes of Kramaric and Inler, the fringe players.

We've also got an ITK on our forum who has said if we can get the players in, we'll be playing a 4-3-3 this season. With the midfield three being Mendy, Kante and Drinkwater. With Musa, Vardy and Mahrez the front 3.

The club without question want both, if Kante goes we'd buy another.

I'm surprised you're not looking to bring in a right-back to be honest. As good as he was last season (greatly to my surprise) Simpson is surely the weakest link in your first XI.

Also where does Okazaki fit into a 4-3-3?

A midfield three of mendy, kante and drink water would be dreadful in terms of creativity. Ranieri isn't an amateur, he knows this.

If someone claims they are 'ITK', then they certainly are not ITK.

We've been linked with a few right backs, we've brought in a guy from Sport Gijon who can play right back and centre back as well. Think we must have watched him against Athletico as Simeone is quoted as say "he's the best defender we've faced this season".

Okazaki along with Simpson would be the first two people we'd look to replace. I can see him becoming a fringe player. We're rumoured to be after Luan from Gremio for £20m, so that's another attacker to put him down the pecking order.

The majority of our creativity has always come from the wide men and the players in the middle gettting the ball wide and forward quickly. From the front 6 Okazaki and Kante were defensive types with Vardy, Albrighton, Mahrez and Drinkwater more creative. The new formation would see the defensive players becomes Kante and Mendy, with Drinkwater, and the front 3 the creativity.

I don't know why the press painted Drinkwater as being a DM around the time of the England squad selection, he's our creative midfielder. Mendy and Kante are quite different as well, Mendy is much more of a ball player. Watched a lot of his videos recently and he loves pinging diagonals into space for quick runners (would suit us down to the ground). Kante more the disrupter and ball carrier who is back to front all day long.

If someone claims they are 'ITK', then they certainly are not ITK.

They didn't claim they were, they have just given consistently correct information.

If journalists who get paid money to find things out don't know about things i highly doubt someone on social media or a forum leaking info for free is that reliable.

Is he the same one who said Zieler deal was nowhere near done, literally after his club confirmed he was joining Leicester

FWIW, Le Parisien do not post tabloid heavy stuff.  They dont report sensational news and gossip.  They're arguably one of the most reputable papers based in France.

People will say how would a French paper know whats going on between 2 English clubs.

A Paris based paper, a Paris born player, arguably French reps?  Easy enough to get an inside scoop

I am also pretty sure way back in like May Le Parisien reported Kante wanted to come here, or we were his preference

Hope we get this one done €35m would be a bargain for one of the best players in England last year, especially when when teams like Watford are turning down £20m for Deeney!

I've still got a few concerns about whether his technique and passing are good enough to play in a possession based side, but if he can get through as much of the dirty work as he did last year, and keep it simple, he will be a key player for us, and will hopefully let the likes of hazard and fabregas thrive.

If we sign kante and a centre back I think we will be able to have a push for the title.

Maybe we may see jt have one last big season with the reduced number of games, and quality cover in front of him in the form of kante.

They work down at the training ground from what we can tell. I'm not one that falls for the usual ITK bullsh*t, but the guy has a decent track record with news from the club.

Don't think that was the case, Hannover announced deal their end but stuff still needed sorting with the player. He wasn't announced for about 5 days after Hannover said a deal had been struck.

I'm backing JT to play every single game

Yeah I can see that too. If zouma can get back for the start of the season, do we really need to spend big on another centre back when we have christiansen to come in as well next year.

His passing is absolutely fine, people make it sound like he's playing in clogs. Yes he'll have some go astray, but that's because he plays at a high tempo and plays very quickly, rather than him not being able to kick it in a straight line.

Correct. If the story is from Rob Tanner (he covers Leicester), then it might have come from the club. Anyone else and they are just repeating stuff.

Rob Tanner write for the Mercury too?   So the Mercury have never been the most reliable with Leicester anyway have they (depending on writer? You'd think theyd be pretty spot on every time given theyre local
