Fabregas really has some work left to do before the season starts. It looks like he's playing with an injury. So incredibly slow.

He was just outnumbered in midfield even kante looked bad. It was a tactictal mistake from Conte but better off learning from it now than in a real game. We wud have been better served playing matic or bakayoko but playing cesc and kante against 3 is just suicide. He looked world class against Arsenal because they matched our formation and had 2 in midfield

Most of the goals came from Alonso's side, tactically we got it wrong for the first 30 minutes, conte patched things up and we looked much stronger and better when Moses and Alonso stayed back, in these big games I think we would be better with a 5-3-2 formation, teams are starting to realise our 2 man midfield is a massive problem because it can be overrun, and this was even exploited last season in the big games

Christensen isn't a patch on luiz at the moment, at least based on that one game. Luiz on the ball is just far more positive.

Our problem in h1 was we couldn't bring the ball out from the back and didn't go long often enough.

I like what I see of Tomori and I'll never see Dave as a wingback. Ribery pissed all over Dave for their second goal.

Me I'm not as down on Cahill as most seem to be.

A few of our guys got a wake up call in this one. Courtois, Alonso, Dave, Michy, willian boga, fab all were found out at one stage or another.

The game against Inter should be a good test. Look forward to that one.

Even in the smaller games last year our two man midfield was out numbered and out muscled.  There just aren't enough positions on the ground in some games especially against strong opposition when we want to win.

I agree with this. We were hammered on the transition twice after Bayern got around our first press. 2015 nightmares again.

My view is with Hazard out for a while and Pedro also injured we should play 3-5-2 for the first few weeks with Cesc as part of a midfield 3. He's a magnificent footballer but he was just overrun in a 2 yesterday (Kante was also off colour). I think that is the only way we can replace Hazards creativity.

Watched the game lastnight on VOD, my thoughts:

It’s clear Bayern have played 5 more game then us this pre-season.

Alonso was at fault for the first two or could have done better but we should all be happy he makes these mistakes in pre-season.

Christanson did nothing wrong but he didn’t do all that much right either. What I mean by that is he needs to play more aggresivly/positive. Luiz attacks the ball; he takes the game to the attacker. Sometimes he will get found out but it puts a tremendous amount of pressure on the attacking players, be perfect or this ball is gone. Terry would do the same in his pomp. Even better then Luiz because his judgment is better, Ricky C as well, if the ball is there to be won go and win it. I don’t think it’s a massive problem right now; he’s still young and should probably play with Luiz as opposed to in place of him.

Thought Boga was promising again, always causing problems and with the enough game time could really turn in to an exceptional player. A lot of his good work might go unnoticed because it didn’t result in a goal.

Michy was great, considering how isolated he was at times he linked the play well, first touch very good and was one of the players trying to take the game to bayarn.

Frabregas had one of those days, shockingly bad and we probably needed more legs in the middle of the pitch.

Talking of the pitch – wow, they are like late 80s’ villa park shocking and I wouldn’t want my 70 million footballer playing on them

I don't think Christensen is suited to the central role in the 3, Luiz gives us an outball there because his passing range is very good, whereas Christensen is more defence-oriented. I think he should slot in at LCB, rotating with Cahill.

Or Rudiger plays left sided centre back as he did for German U21 team...Christensen either competes with Dave or Cahill...

amusing to see a meaningless friendly (purpose = promote CFC in far east, get squad match fit by competitive game time) over analyzed and Chelsea players critiqued as if it were mid season already.........
