Chelsea vs. Bayern Munich (Pre-season) tue 25th of July 12:35

Anyone else notices how much Willian moans at other people? He does a sh*t shot then moans at the distributor straight away for the pass. I'd let him off if he was world class but he needs to look at his own performances before he starts moaning at others.

Well you can't show world class potential in one game, you have it or you don't, you could have a crap season ond still have world class "potential" but I still think he would be a good signing for us. More than capable back up and at 19 will develop into a top player...hopefully

All that is true but we have been discussing what you and I have, or have not, seen from Sanches. You can have it but not show it for sure but then it's hard for the observer to tell it's there wouldn't you say?

The full answer I'd prefer to give is more nuanced, and longer, than what I sad above, but too long for a match thread.

In the end Moses has the pace to be a wing back, Alonso for all his great season, heading ability, free kicks and effort doesn't really have enough pace against the better teams. Especially without Hazard.

Morata moves like Torres. With the buzz cut I even thought it was him for a moment. Hopefully he won't be quite as sh*t.

In a friendly these things happen quite often.

Exactly, do people really think Milan beating Bayern 4-1 was telling of the season to come?

Its not the score that is worrying.

Its the gulf both technically and tactically between the two sides. I dont think this is a fitness issue.

It's not even so much that he doesn't have pace, it's more he gets caught out too often as he bombs forward.  You don't necessarily need pace to be a good defender.

And Arsenal beating them 3-2, that would never happen in a competitive game.

So far i've seen a wenger out sign and people in the crown dabbing. Not sure i want these people supporting us anymore.

I'm probably (certainly) out of touch, but what is dabbing?

As long as he can score from the opportunities, I have no issues with this. The problem with Torres was that he could not finish even on the easiest of changes for us. His movement was never really that much of an issue.

That horrendous celebration that Pogba and Lingard used to do together, i'll try to find a picture/video

You bought a new Spanish player's number 9 shirt again, haven't you

Morata looks like he is some ways away from top form.

To be fair, he's come off the bench, it's his first game and he's being played as a winger.

Enjoy!!

I cannot believe there is a youtube compilation dedicated to him dabbing. Humanity was a mistake.

You know pre season is a time to try out tactics and stuff to see if it works? This is not a competitive fixture we aren't trying to beat bayern at all costs we are trying to see how players perform in certain roles and formations.

And yeah, match sharpness comes with fitness. Pre season is the most nothing results of all time.

My brother follows Juventus and he says we should not be too worried about the score in pre-season. Apparently the pre-season training regime under Conte is brutal and until match fitness is completely regained by the players, results are usually pretty bad at the start due to exhaustion.
