Giroud is a most in this game. WBA are notoriously a physical team. Giroud likes a battle, and he'll get one. I Remember last year Diego having a battle against their backline. I actually expect WBA to have a go, similiar to how they went about their business at Anfield. I can see WBA scoring twice in a 2-2 draw. No faith in this team at the minute at all. Things need to change. Really, really quickly. 

If Sturridge plays no doubt he'll score against us.

If we play Cesc then we need three midfielders rather than two, this gives him the option of just playing his passing game.

Giroud up front has to be a given, no more of the False 9 sh*t please Antonio.

I think WBA will fancy this, Pardew I'm sure has got the odd result against us with both Palace and Newcastle and having Sturridge in his team with a point to prove will encourage them.

In saying this I think despite our recent form we will win.  Conte just needs to pick the right team.

A lot of disrespect for Alonso, who while been a top quality player this year, has also been one of our best players this year. Just look how notably sh*te we looked without him on Monday. The man is class. Let's git rid of a sh*t load of players, and bring in a sh*t load of players nobody has heard of, or who wouldn't cut it in the EPL. Names, and been realistic are two different things. 

If Hazard and Courtois stay you've got some good players to start the new season with. Courtois, Hazard, Alonso, Andreas, Moses, Kante, Azpi, and Rudiger

If we can find a quality midfield dynamo to partner Kante, a RWA, and a goal scorer, then we already have the pieces in place to give next year a real go. I'd keep Drink, Zappa and Cahill. Emerson has signed to help when Marcos is tired. Giroud would be a good back up. Not sure on Morata whether he will stay or be sold. Willian good coming off the bench. Sign the key starters which is a most, keep some of the back ups, and find some players that can fill in for key starters and do a job.

Would love to know your formula on whether a player will cut it in the EPL or not??

Just names been thrown out there who people have never heard of. Stats on computers don't relate to real life. I guess after the signing of Bakayoko you become nervous of new signings without a great reputation coming in. Hopefully we make some buys that have been well thought out.

Just because you haven't heard of them, doesn't mean other people haven't watched them and rate them highly. Not seen a single name thrown about that aren't a) having a great season b) have a great reputation on merit

I'll see for myself, if/when we are linked with them. Well we shall see. And if there that highly rated by people etc, I'm guessing we'd be at the back of the pack to sign them. Lot of people on here jump on a bandwagon of a player after 3 minute video of a few good plays. Excuse me, if I don't get excited when certain players are mentioned. I'd guess most of their recommendations are from FIFA, and they you tube the fella and recommend him as a player. Each to their own. I can imagine Bakayoko was decent on FIFA.

It's clear a world class midfielder or 2 is needed, bring some of the loan guys back to beef up the squad & hopefully Batshuayi would have developed a footballing brain and can return to the squad.

 

I as a support of this club of 30 odd years would love to see a team made up of 4 or 5 youth players for the next Prem game. But I not sure the new breed of Chelsea fan would swallow it. It can't be worse than the aimless football of late .Roman should back the Manger and say your hear for the long term make the millions spent of youth teams work. Ditch Drinkwater Fab and the lumbering bakayoko and be brave. Sod all the inter net fans from around the world a good home grown is worth 20 of a Pedro or Hazard. LET'S BE BRAVE

At the back, I don't see the point of a late 30s 3rd keeper, so bye bye Eduardo and give that role to Blackman. I'm sticking largely with the defence (except Zappa and Cahill), and promoting Sterling and Castillo as additional wing back options.

In midfield, I'm adding some midfielders we already have out on loan and who score goals and have a bit of physical presence and are "box to box" (Marco van Ginkel, Mario Pasalic), plus more game time for Ampadu (alot more) and Trevor Chalobah.

One or two more flairs player as attacking mid to share the load with Hazard - step forward Leon Bailey or Nabil Fekir ... maybe both !

I think if we get the midfield and wide players right, with a tweak of tactics to be more attacking as a unit, then I think there a goals a plenty in Morata, Giroud and Bats, so I'm not signing any strikers.

 

MANAGER:  Conte 2016/17 version or someone else who will offer better entertainment than 2017/18 Conte.
