When I watched him a few times for the academy he was almost always one of the standouts along with CHO. Him, Tammy, Mount and Da Silva need to return. 

Utopia would be in a season or two, having a team that included:

Kepa

Christensen

James

RLC

Mount

Billy Gilmour

CHO 

Abraham

Then just add a few TOP QUALITY signings plus Kante who is only 27 right now and he's that good he'll go on longer than Stanley Matthews. 

We'll be sorted for seasons to come.

I know! I was driving home and I suddenly remember Ampadu so add him to the list!

Only thing with him, I think he may suffer same fate as Ake. No-one really knows what is his best position is which could see him get moved on. Hope not.

Alas, even I have to concede his time has past. Younger brother George has a better chance now, but he'll have to join the queue.

He does seem to settle and do very well where ever he ends up playing though. He wasn’t too good covering Jorginho but I think in time he’d settle there too.

Kalas isn't good enough. He is a decent championship/lower half of premier league defender, he is nearly 26, so unlikely to improve massively in the future. 

Torino have an option to buy aina, which I've read they are likely to take up.

Abraham and James should be in the squad next season though.

Has anyone on here been keeping tabs on Mario Pasalic?

I've been reading that he's had an absolutely belting year with Atalanta, and I was surprised to see that Atalanta are sat in 4th in Serie A. 

It seems that he plays a similar role to Jorginho - is there any chance of us recalling him and using him as a Jorgi back-up next season?

I've read similar reports.

Also read that he wants to join them permanently so i doubt we'd see him back here.

When you read through the names of the 40+ players on loan, only a handful are actually any good and worth persevering with. The rest we really ought to just sell or release. I'd actually be quite dubious that the youth/loan program is actually making us any money ... as has been touted.

10 of the loan players are 25+ years old !!!! What's the point ? Never going to be good enough for us ...
