March 10, 20197 yr I can’t see us getting top 4 now. Would prefer to win EL anyway but I doubt we’ll win that.

March 10, 20197 yr So Arsenal winning against United, I honestly think they’re the worst of the 4 teams aswell.
March 10, 20197 yr It’s not gonna happen now. we are too inconsistent I think today killed it. Even though mathematicaly it’s still alive I just can’t see it. arsenal have a better goal difference and an easier run in. It’s not in our hands anymore which makes it worse. And we would have to beat united and Liverpool away which I can’t see happening at all.
March 10, 20197 yr CB passes to LB, LB passes to Winger, Winger passes to LB, LB passes to CB, CB passes to RB, RB passes to Winger, Winger passes to RB, RB passes to CB.......... Rinse and repeat for 90 minutes. Fecking clueless attack. Whiskey C*ck penetrates deeper then we do.

March 10, 20197 yr We win our game in hand and we jump Utd and are level with Arsenal on points. That is not terrible and puts us in the mix. Our trip to Everton becomes important after the EL if we get the win because of the FA Cup we will jump Utd and be level with Arsenal for a week and the mind games will start.
March 10, 20197 yr I think anymore unexpected drop points and top 4 is over. Arsenal and United are better than us. Edited March 10, 20197 yr by JM7

I watched the Arse v Utd match and TBH did not think they were better than us, mostly cancelled each other out and if not for a debatable penalty would only have been 1 goal in it. I think OGS bubble has now been punctured and it will be interesting to see how they move forward, Utd made 18 fouls today.

We are yet to travel to Anfield, Old Trafford and Goodison. We're not getting into the top four, not with Sarri in charge. It's over. I would use the remaining games to give some playing time to CHO, RLC, Christensen and Ampadu. Might as well do something useful while waiting for the season to end.

We've often done well at Old Trafford, Goodison will be tricky after Kiev and anything we get at Liverpool will be a bonus. For me at Utd and Liverpool play Hazard at false No.9 and play a deeper line.

We are level with tip 4 if we win our game in hand (Brighton at home). Tottenham are in free fall - which won't stop and I think they'll end up 6th. I think a draw against those three and wins elsewhere will get us in top 4.

At this point I'm not even confident about beating Brighton. All they have to do is copy other clubs' tactics, defend in numbers, stay compact, focused and organized at the back and wait for a chance to counter.

For me due to the FA Cup, Goodison is effectively our game in hand. Agree that Spurs are in a difficult time too.
March 10, 20197 yr Good lord just get a grip some of you please. We have a chance! Things looked really bad after the Man U game, the trajectory was bad. But they are clearly less bad now. Sarri deserves some credit. He responded and has shown a lot more flexibility of late. Nobody, absolutely nobody on here, would have predicted Willian on for Jorginho today! We pulled a result out of a tough fixture that was really not going our way and looking like a lost cause, against one of the toughest teams to beat in the league, against which all the top teams have struggled. When was the last time we fought back like that and got a result? On top of that, we had a midweek game and have a busy schedule. Luckily the other teams near us do too, and CL fixtures will take their toll on Tottenham and Man U. These teams will, as I think Strider said elsewhere, drop points unexpectedly. Plenty of twists and turns to come. we may not do it but are clearly in with a chance. Those of you saying we should just give up on the season now - WTF is wrong with you? And you’re the ones that also criticise the team for not having fighting spirit etc. Do you see the irony?
March 10, 20197 yr Good day for Arsenal, but not awful for us. Sure a draw is disappointing on the face of it, and had it been vs Huddesfield, Burnley or Cardiff I would be joining most of you in being unhappy. Wolves are a good team, this is not their only result against the best league sides. They know how to defend as well as any Jose parked bus. However we gain a point on spurs and United, the latter of who we play and will certainly not defend as deep as Wolves did. Everton will have to attack us, their fans will demand it. So will liverpool, so will United. Anyone else coming to the bridge to park the bus won't do it as well as Wolves and Leicester did, of that I am confident. Top 4 is anyones guess. What this weekend should have been was for United and spurs to pull away from us and Arsenal but they both blew it. This weekend opened up the race even more. Really is interesting and I have no idea who makes 3rd and 4th.
March 10, 20197 yr Arsenal have the easiest run-in and thats a worry. Their toughest three games are Wolves, Everton and Leicester away and we are going to Goodison, Anfield, Old Trafford and then Leicester all away.

March 10, 20197 yr We will be 6th by the end of season. That is for sure. Quote me on this. However, I do think we are more then capable of winning Europa League.
