I know mine is an old fashioned view but what I think will kill football is not the over inflated prices, Brexit/taxes keeping the foreign stars away, kids not getting a chance to develop, personally I think what will kill football will be not being ar$sed. Not being ar$sed to travel to away games to support a team playing turgid football, not being ar$ed to pay ridiculous prices for fking hideous looking merchandise and not being ar$ed to pay £150 a month satellite tv charges for mind-numbing boring football that is a chore to watch.

Personally I would take entertainment over success. But then again I'm an old fart that has had years' of unsuccessful football, so for me it's always been more about the entertainment...and there is still a tiny part of me that thinks that free flowing, high intensity entertaining football will actually bring success ultimately.

I am not a Sarri fan and have been vocal in my criticism of him. But for me he didn't get much wrong yesterday. I was pleased with the reaction to going a goal behind and how defensively solid we were in the second half and like i said we probably could have nicked it at the end.

Also, i thought yesterday was Jorginho's best performance from a defensive point of view.

One thing i thought we was missing yesterday was a quick striker to bring on. There were periods where we were being penned in and thought we could have done with a Batshuayi (or someone similar) as a quick out when we are under the cosh. Higuain just doesn't have the pace to carry out a counter attack. 

I get were you're going here, but I really disagree with a lot of areas. 

First... I would have taken a draw before kick off as well, but seeing how easily both City, PSG and Barcelona beat them in their own cave just within the past months - not to mention Everton giving them a 4-0-smacking on Goodison Park the other day, it somehow put my hopes up for more. I know - this game is different - but I really don't think United were impressive last night.

With United playing badly, we still didn't manage to create much. We looked so bad and out of control. Against Burnley we showed heart as we came behind and played some brilliant, fast-paced football. We only lost points due to our rather doubtful defensive position on set pieces. 

That wasn't the case yesterday. We looked nervous and passive from the start. Imo Manchester United made a huge mistake in dropping back after their goal - allowing us to control the game. Still... Despite this fact - we can't break through a sh*tty defensive like the one United has currently got. We had to wait for De Gea to make a mistake for us to score. After that goal, all we needed was to keep the point - I get that. But we were just so bad with the ball. Higuain looked like a complete different player than the one we saw in the weekend. Offside all the time, bad touches and... He really should have squared that last one in to Hazard as well.

Though the refs line was interesting - to say the least - last night, we can't blame him for the final result - that was up to us and the approach IMO.

Well... Two games left - two difficult games as well. I really hope that we'll see some more to Giroud and RLC in these games. Their physical presence could turn out being extremely important.

Late on this, but I've seen it mentioned a few times without reply... But... Sarri rarely takes both Alonso and Emerson. He doesn't put to left backs on the 18.

Its usually one or the other, rarely both. 

I'd expect to see Emerson on Thursday and Alonso in the stands

you know what, we’re actually a lot closer than you think on many of these matters.  I too too am getting old. I also prioritise entertainment over success at any cost. We share many of the same dislikes too. Eg, I hate the excessive commercialisation of it all. I hate the fact I can count on one hand the players who wouldn’t go to another club for a higher paycheck.  I was really just talking v specifically about the task at hand for the 2nd half yesterday. As for the lack of entertaining football under Sarri, I don’t disagree that it can look very uninspiring. However, i think I understand what he’s trying to do. He is capable of delivering more attractive football as his track record and some games/glimpses this season have shown. We should give him a chance.

It's ironic that Rojos crunching tackle saw Willian go off, and his replacement Pedro come on to clear Rojos header off the goal line. That Rojo tackle earned us a point really.

The end of that match was very frustrating. From Higuain not finishing his chance, to Kante passing out of the box (an really to no one in particular) I was pounding my head into the wall. Could've gotten the 3 points yesterday.

I thought at the time, what would have been a f**king injustice IF Pedro hadn't cleared that off the line and the thug who shouldn't have been on the pitch had bagged Utd all 3 points. THAT would have ruined my Sunday!

Maybe de Gea gifted us one but that reflex save from Higuain deserves some credit.
