October 5, 20205 yr Quite chaotic for us today it seems. Can't shift Rudiger, Emerson/Alonso, Drinkwater, Rahman, Moses, RLC to name a few. Edited October 5, 20205 yr by Sindre
October 5, 20205 yr Can we at least loan a defensive midfielder?I have little faith in Jorginho and Kovacic while Kante is injury prone.

October 5, 20205 yr Financially this isn't looking like a great desdline for us. By my count we have quite a bit of our dead wood still on the books that we haven't veen able to shift. 100k a week for Drinkwater to play PL2 isn't great. Glad that Rudiger is staying though. Good player if he can get back to his peak. Lord knows we can't play 36 year old Thiago Silva every game.

October 5, 20205 yr Rudiger not going, so Tomori to West Ham from what I’ve read, basically to accommodate Rudiger in the squad I guess. Edited October 5, 20205 yr by Floyd25
October 5, 20205 yr It shows the effect of the covid market. We are finding it hard to shift players even on loan. Will be a big financial hit I think.
October 5, 20205 yr We've basically spent about $260M on players that we now don't want and no-one else wants to buy ... OUCH ! A very good window for signings however, assuming all the newcomers all play to potential.
October 5, 20205 yr It’s not surprising that we struggled to sell players, the effect of covid. We’re very lucky that the transfer ban happened at the right time for us.

Even without Covid-19, I think we would be struggling to shift most of them. Edited October 5, 20205 yr by Sexyfootball
October 5, 20205 yr Now with Ruben gone, we still are overloaded at LB and CB. A couple of loans still needed.

While Drinkwater would still be in the same boat due to his behaviour and MvG would only be a loan with his injury record, Baka because our fee for him is too high after how poor he has been, I am sure, without Covid, we would have been able to: Sell, if we wanted to: Rudiger Alonso Jorginho CHO Moses Loan: Tomori Emerson Kepa Zappacosta Others probably too. The sales are good players that would have had suitors. The loans because we would not get the sales fees but could cover wages and get loan fees.

October 5, 20205 yr Respect to Jack Wilshere for terminating his 100K a week contract and leaving Westham to get football playing time. I wish the same spirit could Posses that free loader DRUNKWATER

October 5, 20205 yr Author Tomori set to join West Ham on loan now Rudiger is staying. Drinkwater to be our DM saviour this season.

October 5, 20205 yr As things stand we have 3 spare centre backs that are all pretty much equally good or bad Christenson, Rudigier and Tomori. None have established themselves in the first team. All are probably too good for the Championship, their only remaining destination this window. Not sure what happened to Moses, guess he will stay on loan at Inter. Not sure why anyone thought Jorginho was going. He is likely to be regular starter.

October 5, 20205 yr Actually I have a feeling Tomori will still go, but to a championship team unfortunately, hardly ideal for his development. Unless him or Rudi go to eredivise tomorrow, Portuguese window still open for two weeks. Edited October 5, 20205 yr by Floyd25
