Liverpool have asked for tomorrows game at Arsenal to be postponed due to covid cases rising there. Hope no of our lot were affected by them.

What are the rules for the League Cup ? Must have 13 outfield players and 2 keepers available, same as for the PL ?  I think they still have that, so in theory they should still have to play ... ?

Rules are there for the football league to keep or break as they see fit, just as the PL does.

Probably could have got our game against them on the weekend moved to but figuered we were far weaker and they could pick us of regardless.

With Robertson back after suspension, Liverpool have 11 players out according to premierinjuries.com , so should have 14 available of their first team squad of 25, plus some U-23 players that could be added to the bench.

Enough to play the game for me ... certainly no worse than we had to manage with ... 

Only 4 of the 11 missing have covid.

It’s just so f**king mafia style what the PL and FA keep doing for the bindippers… we didn’t get the game against Wolves postponed despite having quite a few unavailable players and the dippers ask for it when they have players available and get it. Just like when we ask for Taylor not to referee us but we still get him and the dippers complain about a ref and they remove him from VAR. Disgraceful.

They've also got the tie turned around. Instead of playing away first they will now play at home first. I think that is to Arsenal's disadvantage.

And of course they get a full week's rest this week.

Reading between the lines of the various statements, it seems that they have more of their back room staff affected than actual players, but I'm sure the football bodies would have checked all that ... not !

Not sure on that. Would sooner have our second leg at home that away, especially if it went to pens.
