Listen all you doubting Thomases (the forum giving a new meaning to the expression). We can, and probably will, lose to Tottenham (I actually think we will lose) and still finish third (also my bet). Lots of season ahead and form can come back (we are indeed a spring team @coco, @axman2526). remember how convinced we were around this time of year during the Sarri season that it was all over? Even I threw in the towel (maybe that’s what needs to happen 😬).

What would life be like for poor old @just if Spurs do beat us?

If you want to prevent that happening @Valerie may be wise for you to be eating ice-cream for an hour before kickoff and all through the game. Say 50lbs of the stuff

A few players have had big form slumps, mount and Jorginho are the most obvious. But I am also wondering if there isn’t a rift in the dressing room over Covid vaccinations. I’d not be surprised if Tuchel isn’t starting a couple of players because they aren’t vaxxed. This is just a complete guess. But for whatever reason the subs were left very late against brighton. Christenson isn’t playing. 

the back line without christenson or Sarr or chalobah is old and slow. We can just about cope defensively but there is less transition threat. Alonso and Dave are just not the same as James and Chiller. Not even close. Thiago is reliable in defence but plays very deep. 

we aren’t playing Werner or havertz. We still don’t know the right position for havertz and I’m starting to wonder if there is a natural position. Werner offers way more than cho or Pulisic but just isn’t getting the game time and so his match sharpness won’t be there. 
 

Kante is only a game away from being injured again and in my view in the current setup he is no better than kova

so lots of problems but every team has them and we need to find a way through.

I'm not entirely sure about that lineup but if it were to prove successful they could always come out to Ride of the Valkyries? 

Personally I would play Timo up top with Ziyech on the right and Mount on the left. Lukaku can come on later.

Play Kovacic, Kante and Havertz in the middle and just go for a back four. At this rate the wingback system is actually making our attacking play worse off, I'm actually sick of it.

No disrespect but I don't want to see Alonso or Dave anywhere near the starting line up.

The wingback system using azpi and Alonso is actually hurting us in my opinion.

going back to a back for and putting an extra man in midfield to link up would help us out no end 

we had a great run not playing a striker maybe time to go back to that

I don't think we can judge objectively until we get our WBs back.

There is reason no one teams is consistently winning the league and trophies, injuries to the first team players in key positions and think this also applies to Liverpool and City.

This season seems to be us impacted the most.

 

No Christensen again...still recovering from Covid-19...so I'd like to see a return to a back 4 as Dave and George Michael not good enough for WBs...

No idea, just seen it reported by a few different places that Kante, due to health concerns, did not get vaccinated.

TT has confirmed Chalobah and Christensen are no available for the game, along obviously with Chilwell and James.

Hopefully not...no point playing a back 3 with 2 sh*te WBs...better to go to a back 4 until at least James is back...plus 424 gives us more offensive options on the pitch...

Wish we had someone who would take the game by the scruff of the neck and drive the team forward when the chips are down...no one is vocal anymore and gets amongst the players, all too often it's the manager who's shouting from the touchline, there are no leaders in the dressing room anymore
