There is no excuses for us winning what isit 3 in 11 games or something? No excuse whatsoever. No excuses but it keeps happening. Different season, different managers, mostly same players. Has nothing to do with Chilwell and James being injured. Covid, other injuries, no postponements etc imo we would have still been sh*t. Edited January 19, 20224 yr by axman2526

Arsenal could go 3 ahead United and West ham level Wolves 1 behind And as mentioned before Spurs 7 ahead. 3rd could drop to 8th, although who knows when these games get played. All the good work done before November tossed in the toilet...if we keep this form going we could end up mid-table and without a manager.........again.😱
January 20, 20224 yr We have been in such poor form lately and with Spurs on the rise after that dramatic win at Leicester this could be a disastrous weekend. We desperately need a win but our confidence is shot, the forwards are sh*t, the midfield is easily overrun and the defence is becoming a disaster and the manager is becoming another basket case. Such a promising start to the season is turning into a nightmare and yet another sh*t show on the pitch and behind the scenes at the Bridge. For the fist time this season and since 67 I don't know whether I can watch us implode anymore.

Pretty sure our squad at their best won Juventus 4:0, something that rarely happens to Juventus in Europe. So clearly when the squad is healthy we're good. All of the listed circumstances had a massive impact on our results.
January 20, 20224 yr This has become nothing short of a MUST WIN fixture now, usually being at The Bridge I’d fancy Chelsea despite the circumstances but lbh this mediocre streak has seen home crowd advantage become irrelevant like when there was zero fans last year. A neutral would fancy the Spuds after that ET comeback earlier today, TT better earn his paycheck this week bc honestly his post Brighton presser tired excuse was just that and his demeanor was telling. I still back him to rescue the situation but time is not on his side if the slide continues.
January 20, 20224 yr I'm nervous. I feel like giving this game a miss, can't stand the thought of them gloating at The Bridge and eventually overtaking us alongside another couple of clubs. I'm tired, that'll work as an excuse for staying away ?

Kane scored one, missed a sitter, they had one cleared off the line. In triple the time it takes them to form an attack, we probably would have just finished passing from Jorgi to CHO to walk the ball backwards... I can't decide to laugh or cry about this sentence.

January 20, 20224 yr Spurs seem better in the Premier league rather than in cups. Whereas we’re the opposite. 1-1…again.

January 20, 20224 yr On current form a draw seems most likely result. An unthinkable defeat would really leave us with some work to do in the last part of the season. Would be great to find a way to beat them again this season. Most of the squad can then look forward to some time off before the World Club Cup. I suspect a fair few will be rested in the FA Cup.
January 20, 20224 yr Chelsea are in a slump, TT's future at risk all according to the media. Five days rest and next up are Spurs at home what more could you ask for........ Yes they did look a bit useful at Vardy-less Leicester and this is under Conte. A narrow win for me.

But that was before the winter period fully kicked in and festive Chelsea came out to play. What I meant was even with a fully fit squad this would have still happened because it is what we do every single winter time basically.
January 20, 20224 yr Since Conte came to Spurs only Man City have got more points in the league that Spurs. And thar is due to City managing a 12 game winning streak...

They have picked up a decent amount of points under Conte, but equally they still seem to have some issues, as illustrated by their awful displays against us in the cup semi matches. After their dramatic win last night I am sure they will have a pep in their step coming into Sunday's game. So we need to start well and knock some of the wind out of their sails.

Yeah they are not City for sure however our issues appear bigger than Spurs at the mo. They looked to have good energy at Leicester whereas we looked knackered and disinterested from minute 1 at Brighton. I don't believe 2 days off will fix our problems. I am hopefully the coming break will set us up for success in the CWC which hopefully will kick start the season again.

Then again I thought the same going into the first leg of League Cup semi so who knows?

It was their best, and probably only chance, to win a trophy this season and you saw how they defended that first half, all their defenders were panicking.

January 20, 20224 yr Come on people - it’s still only Tottenham! Three points to turn our season back around is on the cards here!

True, Conte wanted to send a message to the board there and he did it well. He is not one of the top 3 coaches in the world for nothing. Though the board only showed patience there imo because they were trying to get Conte to quit, hence his spiteful sacking the summer after.
