He absolutely is still world class, regardless of what people say. Don't know why people mention age when he's the same age as Salah. Would play probably 25-30 games in all comps and guarantee you double digits in goals and assists.

I understand that notion with Mbappe, but Neymar puts a shift in defensively. Sure, he's no Mount but he's harder working defensively than someone like Felix that a lot of Chelsea fans want to see come back.

Yup, Tuchel often praised him for his defensive work. I don't think it's a good idea just due to the finances but if he was cheap i'd take him in a heartbeat.

Agreed, its an easy target just to say Neymar is bad defensively because he's a Brazilian with flair when its simply not true. You'd like to think at 31 and quite injury prone Neymar would be more likely to accept a lower wage. £20m loan fee and £350k a week i'd snap him up.

Have never seen it with Neymar. Skillful player on his day but so lightweight. Can imagine the first time a big PL defender took him out and he would be rolling around for about a week. We would be the laughing stock (again).

Its a myth that Premier league defenders are hard hitting anymore. We have more technical CB's than most leagues now, he'd be getting hit a lot harder in France. Even Messi commented on how physical the French league is.

Yeah the tackling and general physicality in France is quite brutal. 

Comes from filling your midfield and defence with destroyers who don't have the technical skills, but huge engines.

A lot of these premier league defenders have been bought from Ligue 1.

There's a good chance next season 3 out of 4 our defence has been signed from that league.

Correct. We buy the technically sound defenders. Leave the 'brutes' over there. 

Seems he is Saudi Arabia bound. Can’t imagine some fans wanted him, the guy has always been about the money.

Pretty sure he's not coming here, not going to accept a 8 year deal with an optional extra.
