Have i missed anything ? because we been through so much sh*t lately. Sadly I don't think so. COVID pretty much opened the floodgates for them to cancel anything at anytime now.
September 13, 20223 yr Annoyed with the postpone, if there aren't enough resources why not cancel all games? It's a good time to play them, for once there's a team who will play a high line, perfect for Potter's team.
September 13, 20223 yr Was football cancelled for Diana's funeral I just looked we didn't have a game that day and didn't play again to the following Saturday in the league anyway. Got to admit the day of the funeral my memories are sketchy I was working nights and didn't get up till it was finished.

The day before she died we beat Southampton 4-2 Petrescu scored a beauty think it was the first game of the new shed opening that was 30th August we didn't play again in the league to the 13th of September the funeral was on the 6th.

A good find, I liked the fighting spirit under Gullit and felt he was perhaps a little unlucky. Can't remember what happened with the football when Diana died did not think football was cancelled yet she was buried on the 6th September and our match after this was a two week break on the 13th so perhaps there was a break. I remember this for another reason, my Mum used to wear ear plugs because my Dad snored and normally got up before Mum. She remembers him vigorously shaking her awake and saw him mouthing something ,lip reading to mean 'He's dead, He's dead', thinking it was either me or my brother. Then feeling quite relieved it was not. My Dad on the other seemed genuinely upset.

Dodd and Todd as fullbacks haha
September 13, 20223 yr Typically I would say the postponement of this match could be a blessing in disguise; give Potter some time with the team. But, since there is an international break after this weekend, all our players are going to be going to their national teams. For those whose status isn't in question, it would be nice if national teams would leave those players at their clubs. But, I understand at the same time. Especially if you are wanting to get some continuity established before November. Also, the blessing in disguise will be the extended time Potter will have with some of the youth and more "fringe" players. But, he would have gotten that regardless if the matches were postponed or not. I'm just antsy for Chelsea football

Even when we are allowed to play football, in front of a crowd, there is VAR....waiting, just waiting to f**k us over.

Well Potter will soon get first hand experience of being screwed over by refs and var, yes he would have had some at Brighton but no-where near as much as our club has been.

October 15, 20223 yr First time I saw football violence when a few of us went to Highbury 1964..Apart from the brawls, the old bill in that picture had dozens of beer bottles aimed at them, lot of bottles landing amongst fans near the front. this would be front page today, so it's curious that I can't find anything other than this, ? This was before "ends" and football firms. The other thing I remember was how drunk they were, some being held up and others staggering around
