My son actually likes him - It was his 13th birthday this week....i put his bad judgement down to the hormones whizzing around his teenage body.

Castor oil, cold showers.

Bar keep!! Bar keep my good man. Three pints of whatever that chap is having. I too wish to be detached completely from reality.

Mini Prediction, by the end of the season you will consider Jackson absaloutly invaluable to our team.

In 3 seasons time you will be talking about him as you once reveared the great Didier

Cautious optimism!

Cracking player, so glad we didn't waste any money on Osimhen. If he finished all his chances like yesterday he'd be putting up Haaland numbers.

23 years old (in June) had less then 1.5 seasons playing as a number 9. Workrate can't be faulted, I personally don't care so much about the off the ball antics, (See Costa and drogba chapters) Brings other in to play, hold up play very good, gets in to good positons.

Id be looking for two things to imrpove this season, less touches, just take take the shot and and some gambling on the front post. loved the way Giroud would take up those positions.

Dunno why a player who is constantly scoring goals is being called a flop .

Perhaps because his goal attempts (and I use the word losely) that don't hit the back of the net have been a bit...unimpressive? Many posts about his actions contain the words donkey and FFS, that's a clue.

Valerie....

All that hopeless stuff is part of his charm, you must agree?

And our owners know what they are doing, so extending his contract means he isnt a flop.

You mark my words young lady, that man will have a statue of himself outside the ground one day.

Extending his contract is how the incentive pay scheme works, last season he obviously hit his targets, so the contract is extended with increased pay. The same thing happened to Palmer. Hopefully the rest of the team cotton on.

He is still a bit raw but getting better every season, I really like that. I think he will still fk up every now and then as he learns but his potential to be a legend one day is there to see, especially if he keeps it up and keeps learning every season.

I do think he's a loveable idiot at times and will probably pay for the statue himself. Lol

But he's just young, inexperienced and not used to the standard upbringing of a football academy. He was an outsider, a kid that played on the street outside his home, barefoot in the dirt then 2 yrs later (or 3?) He's at one of the best academies in the world.

That's a lot for a kid to take in and that isn't the half of it. I really don't know the nudes story behind him but I wouldn't be surprised tbh. Lol

The important thing for me is that I see progress. I already liked the fact he doesn't put his head down and keeps trying and that's so important for progress. Like I said above...if he keeps the tempo up and keeps learning then he will one day be a legend for us. I really believe that. I just hope he has some well grounded ppl around him to guide him (and not whoever is guiding Enzo junior for example).

Would you rather a striker who has hit 18 prem goals in a season and 5 games but has not always been clinical or a striker that doesn't miss chances because they don't have many

I don't really get your dichotomy.

You will have to shorten the syllables for me in future as my vocblary is a bit limited but ill elaborate.

Morata, I for one was really excited about him, started great then missed a few one on ones against arsenal and went in to a permanent hiding

Werner as much as I took to him and I think most did also started to shy away from goal when things didn't go his way. Lukaku.. well you have to get on the pitch to start with. Did Havertz ever get in to double figures for  us?

He's not polished but he offers the team a hell of a lot and he doesn't go hiding (admittedly some times you wish he would) and, honestly I thought we should have started Nkuku.

Dreaded coming onto this thread - and as i feared, the media and blinkered are creaming over his performance and jumping to to all kinds of nonsense about "best value" this, and "quickest brace" that....

We should be under no illusions. He is - and remains - absolutely rubbish.

I give credit for his 2 goals and assist today. You can only beat what's in front of you - and wacko was given - and took - the opportunity to run through on goal, and finished well both times. The 2nd in particular showed a composure that we had not seen to date. We saw composure again when making a good decision (for once) to play in palmer. So - round of applause for that. A brace and an assist is more than good enough to justify a motm award.

but.....(you knew there would be one!)

...West ham were absolutely hopeless for the first 20mins." - they never got started and looked half asleep. Those types of gaping holes up the rear are generally unheard of (unless on a night out in newcastle). He is unlikely to be afforded the same space in the future unless playing part timers.

So fair play - he and his fanboys can revel in the moment, and keep regurgitating the same nonsense about "non penalty goals" and any other dross that tries to convince that he is any thing other than a brain dead loser.

The annoying thing is that this probably means yet another game when the actual forward we should be playing (nkunku) has to wait it out on the bench. Not to worry though - Nico will ahit the bed again soon, and Nkunku will eventually get a chance.

Let's hope the performance today puts a few more millions into the coffers when we eventually sell him.

I'm starting to think there's a conspiracy here that John Obi Mikel is funding Jim at this point.

This is why I will never be stinking rich - too easy to give out my opinions for free.

John Obi Mikel - if you are reading this, i am available and willing to amplify any hatred or negative opinions you have about the wacko.

I can be reached at [email protected]
