My mate texted me about this lad, said to keep an eye on him as he is the best young defender he`s seen at Cobham.

Should be monitored in the same manner Colwill was. 

Very impressive. 

he could do with a Championship loan or maybe another year in Germany but Bundesliga this time

Bundesliga would be a great loan move for him. 

Played some cracking forward passes v Dortmund, looks like he can also play as a DM or RB/LB?

With West Ham pulling out of the Maguire deal I wonder if a season long loan with no options for Bash would be good for him this year.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him tomorrow night. Poch has said 5 or 6 young players.

He's good. Really good. Deserves a chance like Colwill.

Swansea it is 

Playing LB for Swansea. Swansea have taken a while to get their act together this season but now up to 3 wins in a row. Humphreys mentioned in dispatches plus scored his first goal last night.

Very good move for him. Hopefully we have a buy back or matching clause inserted given he’s a player whose trajectory could skyrocket. 
 

 

Great signing for Burnley and will be back in the Prem next year most likely.

The fee hasn't been reported.

Fabrizio Romano reporting that the fee is a £12m fixed fee, plus £2.7m of add ons, plus a sell-on clause.

If true, I'd have to say that is some good work from our sporting directors. They do seem better at selling players than buying them !

I'd say the fee is low, certainly if Guehi's trajectory is anything to go by. Well, we will see how he gets on anyway.

But is Humphreys anywhere near as good as Guehi was, even at a comparable timeline in their respective careers ?

Don't think he is ... but as you say, it will be interesting to see how he does, and good luck to him. No mention on CFC article about obligation to buy clause - just talks about it as a loan. Mind you, they were a bit vague with the Hall details at the time he was loaned as well ...

It's been reported by Fabrizio as an obligation to buy. Guehi's two-season loan at Swansea didn't start well but he knuckled down, worked hard, grew into the job. I'd've kept him but they were different times. Humphreys is nowhere near as advanced as him in a comparable timeline. Swansea weren't enamoured last season but he had injury problems.

In fairness though Bash's loans haven't been as high profile/successful. His time at Swansea was a bit of a slog for that season i think. Didn't really play from Feb onwards after an injury.
