I just can't wait for the next international break where more Clearlake/FFP reports will resurface.

Like f**king clockwork.

f**king international break again in October.

And again in November.

The season is all stop start , then games start getting squashed together to make up for the weeks without PL games..

And then in March , another international f**king break.

I'm calling bullsh*t on this article below..

Noni Madueke told he's in danger of being sold by Chelsea

According to The Boot Room, Madueke has been told he's fighting for his Chelsea future, alongside both Christopher Nkunku and Mudryk, as Maresca currently has ...

Also it's "tbr understands" that just means a few of them were at the pub and decided we had to many attackers and a click bait spot is open. Lol

The theme is to create division with Chels. i.e get the fans to turn/question the club. Noticed how it's cooled down a bit with beeb, guardian, etc...

After a win they need to wait a bit. If media abuse the club now it can go the other way and lose the chaos they are creating, especially a 3-0 win against west ham. Give it a few days and the major media will start again. Rubbish media like tbr is just rubbish though, weak strategy. Lol

I love how maresca replies to the media especially when they keep pushing for a "soundbite" (headline or whatever they call it in written media, big font worthy quote! Lol)

"But when pressed whether it might be possible for them to soon start together, he added: "It could be. But the problem is the defensive balance.

"We can think to place with Nicolas, Christo, Joao [Felix], Cole Palmer, Noni [Madueke], fantastic! But then who is defending? Me and you?"

I'm used to the media and manipulating the demographic but sometimes it really gets to me even though I worked in media (tv) for donkeys years. The word "big" is all it took. Very subtle but there to stick in your mind and continue the narrative. We have 23 (iirc) registered players not the max of 25 you fkn muppets!

(Yes, the rest are under 21, 😁)

"Maresca added he is trying to spread minutes around his big squad after the match.

"If we have the chance we try to share minutes with all of them..."

The media will write the story they want to write - and manipulate whatever quote you give them to make it fit.

That’s their job ….

Unfortunately many of Joe Public don’t scratch beneath the surface (or read beyond the headline) to actually grasp the context of what was said.

Maresca: I love my players, they are not yet perfect, but they are a great squad, big players with big characters and personalities. They are like family

Headline: Maresca admits his squad is imperfect, filled with overweight players who are show offs with big egos. Players act like children - fighting between themselves like squabbling brothers.

The media are reaching now because they overplayed the big squad nonsense. Yes we brought too many players but now the have a number the manager wants. That’s the more important thing.

Jheeze its funny what a few wins does isn't it? I dont think I even heard the word 'Chelsea' in post online/TV predictions for the season, it was like we suddenly ceased to exist. All of a sudden, my Youtube is throwing up Talksh*te videos tipping us for the title, Sky Sports are loving us and the content creator crowd think Nico Jackson is a Drogba/Henry/Shearer hybrid sent to destroy world football.

Don't get me wrong, its a nice shift in narrative, but just highlights so clearly how sensationalist the critisism of our club has been for the last few years.

Thankfully Enzo seems the type to keep us firmly focussed on the important stuff, stick to the target of getting top 4 and hopefully bring a trophy home too.

It's all it takes, one loss and we're right back to the negativity again.

I'm trying not to be overly negative, but my standards this season have massively changed from last. We need to finish higher than 6th, top 4 is where we need to finish this season. Do I think we'll get it? I'm not banking on that over 3 results, with valid reasons to be hopeful there's still plenty of flaws there. I'm giving it time, but so far the manager has done better than I expected and with all the negativity surrounding the club from what's coming out at the top and from the media, he deserves some credit for that.

Absolutely. They're not stupid (or at least their producers arent). Setting up a Chelsea are doing well narrative only forges the stick to beat us with when we inevitably have a rough patch, which based on our fixture list could easily be after the next international break.

"Whats gone wrong at Chelsea" "Chelsea's overinflated squad has got fed up of lack of playing time, major rifts in the dressing room" "Teams have figured out Maresca's football already"

You will be able to read the same negative comments on here unfortunately.

I don't get it mate.

Was his innocuous comment twisted into something else ?

Just pointing out he's not making it that easy for the media to use his quotes for bullsh*t, even when they keep pushing. So they stil twist it as much as they can but nothing too drastic so far.

Maresca encourages players to improve as all managers ought to do however it’s refreshing to see that our players are actively working on their development.

I'm glad because Gusto's crossing is horrendous.

You know what? I was wrong about this guy, he's actually a genius

I like the way (in the same press conference) he said defence starts with the strikers and their pressing. He then praised Cole and Jackson in the last game for defending that way.
