Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*

Featured Replies

He’s done OK.

We lost to City but weren’t awful.
We beat Wolves and were untouchable for 45 minutes.

We drew with Palace when we should’ve put the game to bed.

We beat Bournemouth when we probably should’ve lost.

The football has been a bit boring though hasn’t it?

Subs: Jorgensen, Tosin, Gusto, Veiga, Lavia, Mudryk, Neto, Madueke, Jackson

I personally think that this should be the team going forward if we manage to get to a point where we have no injuries. Apart from Sanchez for Jorgensen but that doesn't seem to be happening any time soon.

The pressing from those three attackers would be piss funny tbf

left footed Colwill at RCB, right footed Fofana at LCB.

Enzo x Caicedo midfield that hasn't worked since we got them.

Joao Felix starting games in 2024.

Zero players that press in attack.

Nkunku as lone striker.

cba.

You've just triggered Jim's Striker Chat Sensor.

Neto LW + Madueke RW the starting wingers.

Balance wise they are the best available. Work hard on both ends.

Neto Palmer Madueke - looks great on paper.

Put Nkunku in front of them and let's see what happens.

- Tbf didn't think about the sides but yeah swap them round

- It'll be fine

- Joao Felix is a top player, should be starting

- Boring

- Well it's either Nkunku up top or Jackson until at least January, don't know about you but I can't hack another 4 months of Jackson leading the line and stinking the place up 9 out of 10 games he plays

I think Maresca maybe managing Nkunku's minutes which is why he only got 10mins playing Bournemouth.

We apparently have gusto and lavia coming back soon. 🤞

But James looks to be out for a while still. No imminent return.

I don't think Felix should be anywhere near the strating line up atm. Palmer, Nkunku, Madueke, Jackson, Neto and Sancho (jury on the last two is still out, but from what I've seen, I think they offer more than Felix) are all ahead of him for me right now. Yes Felix is talented and very good technically, but he just lacks the physicality and the intensity that is needed in the PL and in modern football in general. Add to that his bad decision making and I don't want to see him anywhere near the first XI atm. All the other players offer more than him in my book.

Horses for courses.

Neto and Noni start against the top sides with Palmer as 10

Sancho and Felix don’t do enough off the ball…….. yet. They’ll get plenty of minutes and are probably the more talented so if Maresca can get them pressing and tracking back then they could definitely be first choices in time. At the very least they are great options off the bench.

It is very hard to play football if all your fw want the ball on their feet.

TBF to Sancho at the weekend he was working back in defense.

Not sure if he'd do it for a full 90 though, we'll have to see.

I think so too. Reading between the lines of his Jacko posts he's obviously a fan.

I don't know about that, but there's definitely a lot of ambiguity there, I wish he would just finally pick a position and tell us all what he really thinks of Jackson, nothing I hate more than a fence sitter.

He's fond of a splinter up his kyber.

Spuds going out the cup as it stands. Big Ange now getting a bit of stick from the fans.

Pleasing

He has been getting stick from them for awhile. Being labelled as one dimensional with no plan B. They definitely used up a "Get Out of Jail Free" card last night.

And the stick Werner was getting from the Spurs fans on the BBC comments feed!! Blimey, I'm surprised @nonotnowjim wasn't jumping on to defend him. Werner and Jackson are just brothers from another mother. If I ever had to face a firing squad and I saw those two 10 yards away holding the rifles, I'd be extremely confident of still being around the day after.

He’s a good manager and theoretically at the right club but it will take him a lot longer to get the squad he wants at Spuds. At Celtic he completely changed the way they played and the squad really quickly. It obviously cost a lot less money to do that there as the quality of player needed to get the job done was much less than the EPL. He’s won trophies everywhere he’s been but I doubt very much that will happen at Spurs as he won’t be given the time.

I’d only take maybe 4 of their squad at the Bridge. Van De Ven, Son, Porro and possibly their keeper.

Unfair. Werner was a grafter, who made countless good runs and made things happen for others. Admittedly once he lost confidence he was a hopeless finisher, and he could never get those demons out of his head....

...but to compare him to the fraudulent show off is outrageous.

You never saw Werner in the papers, begging some tart for naked photos.

You never saw Werner getting booked constantly for dissent and mouthing off.

You never saw Werner fighting with others over taking penalties - trying to make it all about him.

You never saw Werner with multiple hair styles - showing off and trying to get attention by colouring his hair.- rather than knuckle down on the pitch.

You never saw Werner get caught offside 🤪

Ok - I admit that the last one might be a stretch too far - but the overall sentiment remains. He was a better player, and better person than Jackson. He also wasnt as ugly, or as stupid.

I hate Jackson - he is rubbish.

Timo was also a bit rubbish by the end - but he was a lovely boy.
