The backline looks very good in this high line and high pressing system IF the two lines above them win the ball back in a good rate and doesn't give it up easily. Basically backline plays as the creator and the last ditch lock. It is very different role to one where the football is played up and down. You can't judge any of our defenders so far as the press haven't worked at all up the pitch.
