Personally, I think he suits the system better than he ever did under Maresca. A perfect counter attacking footballer......if he had more consistent end product.

He's good at some things and bad at others. He can progress the ball forward, he can beat pretty much anyone with his first touch and pace.

Once he gets in the opposition box, he starts to show his weakness. Too much time on the ball, and his crosses aren't great.

For where we are now, I'll take the good with the bad.

So he can run in a straight line? One of the worst take on successes in the league (alongside Garnacho and Martinelli) who top teams have deemed not good enough.

If we want someone to run fast in a straight line we may as well sign up @dermott’s Yorkshire terrier.

What did he do well? I remember many floated crosses into Raya’s hands. Estevao did more in 10 minutes.

I think credit where it’s due but also criticism as well.

He was f**king sh*te going forward today, beyond wasteful. The difference when Stevie came on was night & day.

He’s a role to play in this side but no point glazing someone for the sake of it, he was good the other night. Today he was not good.

I thought he caused them a lot more problems than Palmer if I am being honest. He tracked back and won the ball and actually caused problems to their defence. Yes, we know his end product is not great but to say he had a bad game is ridiculous. There was worse players on the pitch. Other match reports will definitely say he was one of our better players. This is why these match ratings are a bit meaningless sometimes, because I am sure most Chelsea fans would not be saying he

Now I didn't mind Madueke as much as some folk on here, and stuck up for him regularly. But I did realise his limitations and accepted that he was young player who, I hoped, had the capacity to improve.

Neto is everything Madueke was. His one method of beating a player is generally kicking it ahead of himself and hoping to out race his opponent. His decision making at the crucial moment is often wrong. His crossing badly needs improving. For me, Madueke was better in the air. More of a threat when he got in the box. And defensively, (arguably), offered more effort and certainly more physicality than Neto. Like Madueke, Neto's body language and reactions often aren't great. RJ bollocking him him the other week for not chasing back is a good example.

Neto often slows our attacks down. He isn't direct and agressive like Estevao. He isn't brave in the moments you want him to be brave.

He's OK as squad player, making up the numbers. Useful in some circumstances coming off the bench. Just like Madueke.

With his running from the right flank. Arsenal's defenders did not have an easy time against him. His crosses were not great but the shot that hit the post was even an example of him giving them problems. It was a good effort which just missed the goal.

Was he great? No. Was he one of our better players? Yes. I thought Palmer was worse and he is a better player, who again in these type of games does not do any way near to what he is capable of.

But then to go and dig out Neto after a game where he was not bad just looks a bit daft and the usual selective hatred towards one specific player.

Yeah, feel his pace means something as well.. That quick acceleration if applied more intelligently will certainly bring benefit.

He lacks acceleration. It's a big reason why he struggles to beat defenders on the dribble. He is very quick when running on to balls or covering ground but he lacks the quickness and sharpness of top level attackers.

really? his acceleration looks quite light though, low center of gravity. Just for comparison, which players in Chelsea's camp that excels in acceleration?

Palmer has multiple world class seasons to fall back on if he has a quiet game, i genuinely can't remember a single game where Neto was the stand out player in a Chelsea shirt. Anywho, Palmer actually manager 2 shots on target in the game, Neto managed a grand total of zero. He lost the ball less, which is impressive seeing as he played 20 minutes longer than Neto (10 times v 14 times). Carried the ball further. Even on his bad day, he's still head and shoulders above Netonyahu.

That's a lie. He only had 3 full seasons with Chelsea so far. Previous one definitely poor, 2nd one is pretty good but not in world class cat. Only the first one that would be just enough to be classified as world class.

And what do you mean 'attracted' to neto? in what way?
