Ok if No Lavia and no KDH then play Veiga and Casadei as the 2 pivot players, or maybe Sak Rak-Sakyi.

F it, Caicedo and Enzo need a rest and is not like them playing on empty has kept us on a winning run.

Short term pain for hopeful long term gain

He'll field his strongest available team. Maresca knows he needs to win this one !

Well, even when it is 1-3, water will still be wet in here. It's not the winning, it's the way of winning and the players that played which are  apparently always so wrong, but that makes me wonder why we are still in the shower when we do it differently with the right players, and lose.................?

Players change, manager changes, owners stay the same 👍

No doubt he will. His preferred 11 minus Fofana.

It entertains me that certain players get called out as scapegoats and 100% of the blame is on them! It's been a thing for years, and normally, either the first or last name will begin with an M!

Malouda wouldn’t pass to Torres!

It used to be the norm, managers having a pop at other managers, whether directly or indirectly, Fergie vs Wenger, Jose vs Rafa or Wenger, made for great viewing.

So is refreshing to see that old style mentality from the Palace manager basically calling out our head coach and saying "you ain't got $hit"

Hmm, not sure if today's squad has that high a ratio of them.

1. Madueke (everyone bar Just)

2. Mudryk (everyone bar Mod)

3. Marc Cucurella  (Just)

4. Malo Gusto (several recently)

Compared to:

1. Sanchez (most of the forum)

2. Jackson (I forget who, some fella...was it James, Jerry...meh)

3. Felix (probably 75% of the forum)

4. Sancho (more recently a few)

5. Enzo Fernandez (less now, still a few)

6. Veiga (started off well, now often  labeled too slow).

I forget anyone? 4 to 6 ration at the mo.

Not including legitimate sh*t players like Badiashile, Disasi or Tosin, though if I did is 3 more for the no Ms column.

There is not so much of today's squad other than Mudryk and Marc Cucurella (until he became one of our better players and still gets it) but over the years, it's always an M is the scapegoat!

Malouda, Mikel, Marcos Alonso, Mendy.... there will be more!

Lol what?

Tacticos on twitter make thread after thread disecting managers tactics in explicit detail, why are you surprised managers paid millions a year to do that are doing exactly that?

It's not even that insightful, it's basically how everyone plays now, I could say the exact same thing for how Palace play. As ever it's the usual suspects desperate to point out how everything about Chelsea is just the worst.

They don't often  take shots at other managers these days. Of course they look at each others tactics but would not put it across in such a derogatory way to the media in most cases.

Pleased with that other than Madueke not starting.

Big responsibility for Acheampong, unless we're doing something weird that would put him in the middle of the back three in possession.

Is he not a right back?

Can play both. In Maresca’s set up we found success when Fofana acted as an outside RCB. Need a lot of pace for this role to prevent counters.

Acheampong on paper looks like he could do well in that role.
