Trying to work out the number of players who will be playing out of position !

Interesting to see George and Mheuka in the line up, but disappointed that Acheampong isn't starting.

It ay be easier to count the number of players playing in their position.

The line up has drawn my interest to this game. A little at least.

Given Who is selected the best way, imo, to deploy them would be with Gusto right back bombing overlap to right wing Palmer, George holding left so left back James can cut in on to his right foot to shoot/cross/pass, Trevor DM to allow Caicedo and KDH to support Mhueka.

Gusto, I think, is the left back,

I see it as :

Sanchez

Chalobah Tosin Badiashile Gusto

James Caicedo

George Palmer KDH

Mheuka

Possible also that Palmer plays RW with KDH in the centre and George LW.

James DM, KDH in the middle, Palmer RW, rest is self explanatory.

Very disappointing, and feels like we have a wasted a year of development by not loaning him out in Jan to get regular games.

The salient point is that he didn't have to do any of that ... he has round pegs available for every round hole, even resting a few.

He's hardly had a look in since the Bournemouth game. Seems far too harsh to me, assuming it's "punishment" for the Bournemouth goal (great finish rather than poor defending), especially when Gusto has mostly sucked at right back for weeks on end ...

I'm not going to be critical of him trying something new to freshen up the attack. Besides, we should really be beating these anyway.

1.2B spent and Badiashille & KDH are in your starting XI.

I remember when I used to think we were chalked if Kalou started, I’d kill for a player of that quality to be in our lineup nowadays.

In terms of the attacking players, I'm happy to see Mheuka, George and Palmer, I think that some had been asking for the two youngsters to get a start, so I'm happy to see how they do. I'm a bit surprised about KDH, as I would have thought that Nkunku would have been a better option to give him more playing time (although he's been appalling when he's played in the PL, tbf). Other than that, I'm concerned with the defensive lineup and goal keeper, and not too sure about how James in midfield is going to work, but maybe we've got ourselves a solution to Lavia's absence (?). Caicedo deserves some rest too, and I hope that he gets subbed for Amougou early on in the second half. We've got Leicester on Sunday and we need the three points.

@Ukraine Bolt What country you in?

Hopefully Mheuka is the sort that performs no matter the quality of the opposition.

He’s scored a lot of goals in the youths and I know he’s very highly thought of.

For the amounts of money we’ve wasted on players that are nowhere near ready it would be great if our next star came from the youth set up.

I think he’s going to score tonight.
